Chapter 286 - Ryan’s First “Run Attempt”

Part 2: Ryan's First "Run Attempt"

Some babies learn to walk.

Some learn to talk.

And then there are the special ones…

Who decide they are already late for life.

The Mansion Becomes a Playground

The sitting room was unusually packed today.

Not crowded… but lively.

Ryan was standing near the center of the room.

Matteo—Lucas and Isabella's son—was right beside him.

Both of them were now at that dangerous stage of development:

"walking… but with confidence that is completely undeserved."

Elara and Isabella sat together on the couch, smiling like proud judges watching a competition they didn't sign up for.

Seraphina had already declared herself "coach."

Luca and Lucas were standing nearby, pretending they weren't nervous.

Ethan was watching quietly, calm as always.

And Damian…

Was watching both boys like a man supervising two tiny explosions.

"…This feels unsafe." Elara said softly.

"…It is unsafe." Damian replied immediately.

The First "Race" Begins

Ryan took one step.

Matteo copied.

Ryan took two steps faster.

Matteo did the same… slightly wobbly.

"…They are competing." Isabella whispered.

"…No one taught them competition." Lucas replied.

"…They were born with it." Elara said, amused.

Ryan suddenly speeded up.

Fast toddler steps.

Not running.

But emotionally… yes.

Matteo followed immediately.

Both of them started circling the sitting room like tiny chaotic racers.

FULL PANIC MODE

"…Stop them—" Luca started.

"…If you touch them, they'll cry." Isabella replied quickly.

"…If they fall, I'll cry." Lucas added.

"…So nobody moves?" Seraphina asked seriously.

"…Nobody moves." Ethan confirmed calmly.

Ryan suddenly stopped.

Looked at Matteo.

Matteo looked back.

Then both—

Clapped.

Baby Language Explosion

"Ba-ba!" Ryan shouted.

"Ma-ma!" Matteo replied.

"DA!" Ryan answered.

"TA!" Matteo responded.

Then both of them started clapping harder.

Laughing.

Spinning slightly.

Shouting in full baby language chaos.

The room lost it.

"…What are they saying?" Elara laughed.

"…World domination." Luca said immediately.

"…They are bonding." Isabella corrected.

"…They are plotting." Seraphina added seriously.

Ryan's Final Destination

Suddenly—

Ryan stopped again.

Everyone froze.

He turned slowly.

Looked straight at Damian.

Silence.

Then—

He walked.

Confident.

Straight toward him.

"…Oh no." Elara whispered.

"…Oh yes." Seraphina smiled.

Ryan reached Damian.

Looked up.

Then—

Very proudly:

"…Dada!"

And immediately started dancing.

Clapping his hands.

Wiggling his tiny body.

Laughing loudly like he just won a war.

Damian's Reaction 😐➡️💀😂

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Damian stared at him.

Ryan stared back.

Still dancing.

Elara covered her mouth trying not to laugh.

Luca already failed.

Ethan turned slightly away to hide his smile.

"…He's celebrating me." Damian said slowly.

"…Yes." Elara replied.

"…Like this?"

"…Yes."

Ryan spun once.

Almost fell.

Damian immediately caught him mid-air without blinking.

Placed him back down.

Ryan immediately clapped again.

The Chaos Peak

"…He's obsessed with you." Isabella said.

"…Clearly." Lucas added.

"…He's not obsessed." Damian replied calmly.

"…Then what is that?" Seraphina pointed.

Ryan was now dancing harder.

Right in front of Damian.

Calling him "Dada" repeatedly like it was a song.

Damian sighed.

"…He's disrespectful."

"…HOW?" Elara laughed.

"…He assumes I will always catch him." Damian said.

Silence.

"…That's called trust." Ethan said softly.

Damian paused.

Looked at Ryan again.

Then—

Very quietly:

"…Yes."

End Scene — A Tiny King Chooses His Throne

Ryan didn't just walk today.

He didn't just run.

He performed.

He celebrated.

He chose his audience.

And at the center of it all—

He chose Damian.

Not because he was told to.

But because every time he moved…

He was caught.

Every time he stumbled…

He was safe.

And every time he looked up…

That was the face he trusted most.

Even if he danced like chaos while doing it.

To be continued…
