Nervous!
It was a foreign feeling to a man like Father Veyron.
He was used to being in control. So used to it in fact that he'd heard threats like that a hundred times before.
Perhaps thousands!
He had heard every kind of woman threaten him before.
Some had screamed.
Some had cried.
Some had sworn that one day they would kill him…
Some had even held a weapon to his neck, much like this female currently was.
Yet---
None of them ever had!
None of them had what it took to take a life, and so, in the end, he had been the one in control.
