Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: The Invisible Hunter

September Days took a slow breath, forcing herself to calm down. The static in her earpiece had stopped, but the silence that followed was even more unsettling. Years of experience told her this wasn't an ordinary security failure — someone, or something, was deliberately cutting off her support.

"Seventh Sense…?" she muttered under her breath.

She stepped lightly across the polished floor, her movements soundless. The storage room wasn't far ahead; she could already see the faint reflection of glass panels at the end of the corridor. But the air felt wrong — too still, too quiet. Even the hum of electrical equipment seemed to have vanished.

Then—

A faint ripple distorted the space in front of her, like heat waves rising from asphalt. September instantly halted, her eyes narrowing. She tossed a small coin forward. The coin passed through the air… and suddenly twisted sideways, clattering against the wall.

"Gravity manipulation?" she whispered.

Before she could analyze further, another ripple formed behind her. The pressure in the corridor abruptly increased. September felt as if invisible hands were squeezing the space around her. She dropped low and rolled forward, narrowly avoiding the crushing force. The floor behind her cracked slightly, as though something heavy had pressed down.

"So you don't even show yourself…" she muttered, smirking despite the danger. "Coward."

She threw three thin steel needles in different directions. One struck the wall. Another bounced back midair. The third stopped completely — suspended as if frozen — before falling straight down.

"Definitely not normal…" September clicked her tongue. "Looks like I really walked into a trap."

She activated a tiny smoke capsule, releasing a thin mist into the corridor. The smoke revealed something eerie — spiraling distortions, like invisible vines twisting through space. They slowly moved, probing, searching.

"Found you." September's eyes sharpened.

She dashed forward in a zigzag, avoiding the distortions. Each step was calculated, graceful. The invisible forces chased her, but she slipped through them like water. Just as she was about to reach the storage room door—

The floor beneath her shifted.

The world tilted.

Her balance faltered for a split second.

That single mistake was enough.

The invisible pressure surged, forcing her backward. September flipped midair and landed lightly, but the path ahead had already twisted again. The corridor looked the same, yet she knew she had been pushed away.

"Annoying…" she sighed.

Then, the sound came — low, rumbling, distant.

September frowned. "That… doesn't sound good."

The rumble grew louder, echoing through the corridor.

Her instincts screamed danger.

And moments later—

The giant boulder appeared, rolling toward her.

"Seriously?!" September's calm expression finally cracked as she turned and ran.
