In a dim corridor, a small figure was running.
Monica, a remarkable diviner. Although she was still just a child, none of the prophecies she had made so far had ever failed. But now, this diviner was fleeing in a panic.
The dim corridor seemed endless, and the only sound was Monica's heavy breathing.
Finally, Monica reached a dead end. With no way out, a look of despair appeared on her face, and she instinctively clutched the object hidden in her clothes.
"Why have you stopped running?" Asagami Fujino appeared behind Monica with a smile on her face, though there was no warmth in her eyes.
As soon as she arrived in the city where Monica was, she sensed that the Little Loli had gone into hiding. Monica had used her Seventh Sense's prophetic ability to perceive something. The information Monica had gained through her Seventh Sense was only what Fujino had specifically allowed her to see—nothing more than the fact that Fujino was dangerous. This way, Fujino could enjoy a game of cat and mouse with Monica.
"What do you want?" Monica turned around. Though she was terrified, she summoned her courage to face Asagami Fujino.
"Not bad," Fujino praised. Being able to maintain some composure in this situation was no easy feat for the current Monica, but that was as far as it went.
"I've only come to find you," Fujino said. Without any visible movement, Monica's expression changed to one of panic. She tried desperately to hold onto her body, but it was futile. A book flew straight out of Monica's clothes and into Fujino's hand.
"Give it back to me!" Monica shouted. That was something her sister had left for her, to be given to the person her sister had designated. It must not be taken by anyone else. Monica's tiny body lunged toward the book in Fujino's hand.
"What an uncute Little Loli."
Frowning, Asagami Fujino stepped to the side. Monica fell straight to the ground, her forehead turning red from the impact. Although she wasn't seriously injured, it definitely hurt.
Fujino reached out a hand and lifted Monica up. A green light flashed from her hand, healing Monica's injury. She then held Monica up to her face and said, "I'm not going to hurt you, so why run? Your Seventh Sense is far too weak compared to your sister's."
Monica's sister, Morrigan, was a descendant of the Solon Clan of Gusilan left on Earth. Morrigan was the most powerful witch the Solon Clan had ever produced, possessing the ability to foresee the future to a profound degree. At the same time, Morrigan was a crucial thread in the stolen star world. If Morrigan hadn't existed, Xuan Yue would never have rebelled against the Black Moon Iron Cavalry because of their meeting. Furthermore, Muir V would have carried out his plan to possess Xuan Yue's body, using the powerful physique of a prince of Gusilan to enact his plan to destroy the Earth. If that had happened, the Earth would have been long gone.
"You know my sister?" Monica asked, clutching her forehead. Even though she had been healed by Fujino, she instinctively held the spot.
"I don't," Fujino said flatly. She truly didn't; she hadn't been in this world for long, and Morrigan was long dead.
"Then..."
"I know of your sister; she just doesn't know me," Fujino smiled, then suddenly brought her face close to Monica's. "Do you want to see your sister?"
"Impossible! My sister is long gone! And you, you bad woman, give the book back! That was left to me by my sister!" Monica cried out.
Asagami Fujino's face darkened. This loli was really not cute at all; she actually dared to call her a bad woman! Did she not know how to spell the word 'death'?! An angry Asagami Fujino simply let go of her hand, letting Monica fall to the ground again.
With a "thud," Monica's forehead once again made intimate contact with the ground.
"Now I've changed my plans. If you can find me, I'll give this thing back to you and let you see your dead sister. If you can't, you might as well prepare your will and say goodbye to the world." Leaving these words behind, Asagami Fujino vanished.
Monica hadn't even reacted yet when her surroundings suddenly spun and changed; the originally dim corridor turned into a bright rooftop.
"What's going on?"
Then Monica thought of what Asagami Fujino had said before leaving. She didn't have time to think about what had happened and hurriedly used her Seventh Sense to search for Asagami Fujino. That was something her sister had left for her to deliver to Lord Xuan Yue; it absolutely couldn't be taken away like this...
"Ah!"
Monica, having activated her Seventh Sense, suddenly let out a miserable scream and then collapsed powerlessly to the ground.
