Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: Misty's First Kiss

When Roy directed Pidgeotto to find Misty, she, being a good swimmer, had already climbed ashore on her own.

She sat on a large rock by the river, soaking wet, her light orange hair clinging to her cheeks and neck, still dripping with water.

But she was clearly not in a good state.

There was a visible scrape on the outside of her left calf, seeping blood, and the surrounding area had already become red and swollen.

She was bowing her head, wiping her face with the back of her hand.

Her shoulders were shaking with sobs.

Roy jumped down from Pidgeotto's back, recalled his Pokemon, and walked over quickly.

The sound of footsteps startled Misty.

She looked up abruptly.

When she saw it was Roy, her eyes, still glistening with water, instantly lit up.

"Roy!"

Her voice carried a clear sob, mixed with pleasant surprise.

Roy walked up to her and crouched down.

His gaze swept over her face; teardrops still hung from the corners of her eyes, her nose was red, and her cheeks were a wet mess of either river water or tears.

"Silly girl."

Roy spoke, his tone carrying a hint of teasing:

"Who told you to run around with your head down? Now you know what it's like to cry, huh?"

"Who... who's crying!"

Misty's habit of being stubborn immediately flared up.

She wiped her face hard and stiffened her neck:

"This... this is river water! It splashed on me when I fell into the river just now!"

"Fine, fine, river water."

Roy didn't expose her, his gaze falling on her injured leg:

"Can you still walk?"

"I can!"

Misty's competitive spirit rose.

She braced her hands against the rock and gritted her teeth, about to stand up.

But as soon as she stood straight.

"Ah!"

The sharp pain from the wound on her left leg made her entire leg give way.

Her body leaned forward uncontrollably.

It looked like she was about to take a hard fall.

An arm steadily wrapped around her waist.

Roy had anticipated this.

"Alright, stop trying to be brave."

He steadied Misty, turned around, and crouched down with his back to her:

"I'll carry you on my back."

Misty looked at Roy's broad back, her cheeks flushing slightly.

She pursed her lips and murmured softly:

"Then... then you're not allowed to touch me inappropriately..."

"Don't worry."

Roy didn't look back, his voice carrying a hint of a smile:

"I am a gentleman. Even when those women with great figures at Nanshan Academy throw themselves at me,"

"don't I remain as unyielding and steadfast as a rock?"

"Hmm?"

Misty suddenly reacted again:

"You're still thinking about those bad women from Nanshan Academy!"

Her arms wrapped around Roy's neck, hugging him a bit tighter:

"You're not allowed to think about them anymore!"

Her tone carried a jealousy she hadn't even noticed herself.

"Fine, I won't think about them!"

Roy coaxed her, and only then did Misty obediently lie on his back.

Roy reached back with both hands.

He steadily supported Misty's very elastic, beautiful buttocks.

The sensation from his palms made his heart skip a beat.

Misty looked thin, but she actually had quite a bit of meat where it counted.

"Ya!"

Misty gave a sensitive little cry and punched Roy's shoulder:

"Where... where are you putting your hands!"

"To carry someone, I obviously have to support them here, otherwise how would you stay on securely?"

Roy spoke with perfect confidence and even gave her a deliberate little hoist.

Misty was pressed against his back, her whole body tight against him.

The fabric had become translucent after being soaked.

The outline of her light blue bra was clearly visible.

Feels pretty good!

The corners of Roy's mouth curled up.

Carrying Misty on his back, he set off along the riverbank.

His pace was very steady.

Misty lay flat on his back, her wet body pressed close, her body heat transferring through the thin clothing.

"If the ones at Nanshan Academy are bad women, then who is a good woman?"

Roy looked for a topic.

"Sister Delia, of course!"

Misty blurted out without hesitation.

But after saying it, she paused.

Her voice lowered, carrying a bit of bashfulness:

"And... and me."

"Oh~~"

Roy drew out the sound, full of meaning:

"Then from now on, I'll make sure to think of both of you!"

"Mhm! That's more like it..."

Misty nodded with satisfaction.

But in the next second, she suddenly realized.

Wait.

Why does this sound... strange?

Like something's not right?

Think of both of us?

This "think"... what kind of thinking is it?

It's as if... both Delia and I are his women~ Hmph!

While she was pondering, Roy had already carried her quite a distance.

The path along the riverbank wasn't easy to walk; there were many stones and weeds.

Roy took every step steadily, his hands firmly supporting her thighs.

That position... was too high up.

Misty could clearly feel the warmth of Roy's palms, and as they moved, his fingertips occasionally brushed against the soft skin of her thighs.

It felt tingly and numb.

Her face grew redder and redder.

Her body also gradually began to feel weak.

"Roy..."

She spoke softly.

"Hmm?"

"Can you... can you move your hands down a bit..."

"If I move them down, I won't be able to support you, and you'll slide off."

Roy's reasoning was sound.

As he spoke, he deliberately gave her another hoist upward.

"Ugh!"

Misty trembled all over and bit her lip, not daring to speak again.

She could only bury her burning face in the crook of Roy's neck.

Her breath puffed against Roy's skin.

It was warm, moist, and carried a fragrance unique to young girls.

Roy chuckled inwardly.

This girl usually acts like a tomboy, but she's actually quite sensitive.

It seems the progress of winning her over can be accelerated.

The two of them walked in silence like this.

There was only the sound of footsteps and the rushing of the river.

The atmosphere became somewhat ambiguous.

But it was soon interrupted.

"Excuse me..."

A crisp female voice came from the edge of the woods ahead.

Roy looked up.

A girl wearing denim overalls and a pink short-sleeved top was standing not far away.

Her beautiful long green hair was braided behind her head and tied with a large red bow.

Her features were delicate, and her skin was fair.

At this moment, she was looking at Roy and Misty on his back with a curious and concerned gaze.

"Was it you who were shouting for help just now?"

The girl asked.

"Help?"

Roy was stunned for a moment, then immediately understood.

He glanced sideways at Misty on his back:

"It must have been this silly girl shouting when she fell into the river."

Misty embarrassedly buried her face even deeper.

"So that's how it is."

The green-haired girl walked over.

Her gaze fell on Misty's injured leg:

"She's injured. It looks a bit serious."

She crouched down and carefully examined the wound on Misty's leg.

"I know a bit of common herbal medicine."

The girl looked up, revealing a gentle smile:

"I can give it a simple treatment for you to prevent infection."

As she spoke, she naturally pulled a small cloth pouch out of her backpack.

She opened it.

Inside were some dried herbal leaves and clean cloth strips.

"My name is Melanie, and I live in the forest nearby."

The girl introduced herself while skillfully crushing the herbs on a rock.

"I'm Roy."

Roy also gave his name while gently setting Misty down on a flat rock to sit.

"Her name is Misty. We're both passing Trainers."

"Thank you, Melanie."

Misty said softly, watching Melanie earnestly crushing the medicine.

"You're welcome."

Melanie's smile was gentle.

She applied the crushed herbs to Misty's wound and then carefully bandaged it with the cloth strips.

Her movements were soft, and her technique was skilled.

"It's just emergency treatment; you should still disinfect it properly when you get back."

Melanie advised.

Roy stood to the side, his eyes sizing up Melanie.

According to the script... this girl is the temporary adopter of that high-potential Bulbasaur.

I didn't expect to meet her so soon.

"Miss Melanie lives in the forest alone?"

Roy struck up a conversation.

"Yes, I like the peace and quiet, and I also like taking care of injured Pokemon."

Melanie nodded, packing up the cloth pouch.

"No wonder."

Roy smiled:

"Beautiful and kind-hearted, with great skills too. With you in this forest, the injured Pokemon are truly fortunate."

He spoke quite bluntly.

Melanie's face turned slightly red.

"You... you flatter me."

She lowered her head somewhat bashfully.

But the smile at the corners of her mouth couldn't be hidden.

Meanwhile, Misty on his back was already fuming.

Roy! You big pervert! Big pervert!

You can't even walk when you see a beautiful woman!

When you first saw me, you even called me a hungry ghost!

Now, to this Melanie you just met, you're praising her as 'beautiful and kind-hearted'!

Hmph!

She glared at Roy huffily.

If looks could kill, two holes would have been glared into the back of Roy's head by now.

I'll Bite you!

Bite you to death!

Misty imagined herself pouncing on Roy and giving him a hard Bite.

As she thought about it, she actually unconsciously opened her mouth in the air.

She made a "biting" motion.

Just then, Roy happened to turn his head to check on Misty.

With this turn of the head.

His profile happened to move right up to Misty's open mouth.

"Mwah."

A slight but clear sensation.

Misty's lips planted a solid kiss right on Roy's cheek.

Time seemed to stand still.

Melanie blinked, watching this scene.

Misty froze completely.

Her eyes widened, her lips still pressed against Roy's face.

Her mind went completely blank.

Roy was also stunned for a moment.

Melanie caught sight of this, and the corners of her mouth couldn't help but curl up as she teased softly:

"Roy, you and your girlfriend really have a great relationship."

These words were like a needle, lightly pricking Misty's sensitive nerves.

Normally, she would have immediately jumped up to protest: "Who's his girlfriend!" "We're just companions!" "Don't talk nonsense!"

But right now... she had just "kissed" Roy's face.

And it was her first kiss!! Her first kiss! Was it supposed to be like this?

The lingering warmth on her lips and the fresh scent of Roy's skin made her head spin.

Her excuses were stuck in her throat; she couldn't utter a single word.

Her face was hot enough to fry an egg.

She fell into a complete silence.

In the end, it was Roy who laughingly came to her rescue:

"Her? She's just hungry. Her stomach is growling, and she wants to Bite someone as soon as she smells something."

As he spoke, he deliberately glanced at Misty, who was still frozen on his shoulder:

"Right? She has quite an appetite; she can eat three bowls of rice in one sitting!"

"You... you're the one who eats three bowls in one sitting!"

Misty finally found a bit of her voice, but her retort was weak, lacking her usual energy.

Melanie was amused by the interaction of this "young couple":

"I happen to have plenty of food in my little cabin; we'll be there soon."

She stood up and brushed the herbal residue off her hands:

"Let's go, I'll lead the way."

Roy hoisted Misty back up and followed Melanie deep into the forest.

For the rest of the journey, Misty was unusually quiet.

She buried her face in Roy's back without saying a word.

Only her slightly rapid breathing and the occasional muffled grunt from the jolts of Roy's walking proved she was still awake.

Roy could feel that Misty's muscles were quite tense.

It seemed that unexpected "kiss" had a significant impact.

He chuckled inwardly but didn't point it out, just steadily carrying her along.

They walked for another distance.

The dense bushes ahead suddenly made a "rustling" sound.

Roy paused, his Aura Power subconsciously expanding.

A familiar and gentle life fluctuation was rapidly approaching.

"Roy? Misty?"

A female voice rang out, tinged with surprise and worry.

The bushes were parted, and a slender figure stepped out quickly.

Her light brown long hair was somewhat messy, clinging to her sweat-dampened forehead; her fair cheeks were flushed from exercise, and her chest rose and fell slightly.

It was Delia.

The hem of her plain outfit was stained with some mud and grass, but it didn't hide her mature and charming grace at all.

At this moment, her gentle eyes were urgently scanning Roy and Misty, especially when she saw Roy carrying Misty and the cloth bandage on Misty's leg, her brow immediately furrowed with concern.

"Are you guys okay? What happened to Misty?"

"Sister Delia!"

Seeing Delia, Misty, who had been playing ostrich, felt like she had found a savior, and her eyes brightened.

After a long silence, she finally spoke, her voice carrying a hint of grievance:

"I... I accidentally fell into the river and scraped my leg. Sister Delia, where did you go just now? We've been looking for you for a long time."

Delia walked closer, first carefully examining Misty's injury, then sighing in relief:

"Fortunately, the wound was treated in time."

She then looked up and explained:

"I was chasing that Oddish just now, and when I reached a clearing in the woods, I found a Bulbasaur with it."

"That Bulbasaur was very wary. When it saw Pikachu and Eevee approaching, it attacked directly with Vine Whip."

"Pikachu and the others blocked a few times, and then that Bulbasaur took the Oddish and fled deep into the forest. I chased them all the way, and I didn't expect to run into you here."

Delia spoke quickly but clearly.

After finishing, her gaze fell on Melanie, who was standing quietly to the side, and she gave a friendly smile:

"And this is?"

"My name is Melanie, and I live in this forest."

Melanie introduced herself gracefully, her gaze lingering on Delia's gentle and beautiful face for a moment, unable to help but admire her in her heart.

What an elegant and beautiful older sister.

"I heard some noise and came to check, happened to meet Roy and Misty, so I helped Misty with her wound."

"Thank you so much, Miss Melanie."

Delia thanked her sincerely.

The two women exchanged a few pleasantries.

At this point, Melanie frowned slightly, repeating the key phrase from Delia's words:

"A Bulbasaur... with an Oddish?"

"Yes, it was sturdier than a typical Bulbasaur, the color of the bulb on its back was darker, and its gaze was very sharp."

Delia recalled and described.

"Could it be... him?"

Melanie murmured to herself.

"Miss Melanie, do you know this Bulbasaur?"

Delia keenly caught the information in Melanie's words.

"Well... I suppose I know a little bit."

Melanie nodded, a complex expression appearing on her face:

"Once you reach where I live, you'll understand."

She said no more, turning to continue leading the way.
