Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 – A New World

"Guys… should we go with Pokémon?" I asked, my finger hovering over the glowing option.

"It seems safe," Diana said, crossing her arms but looking curious.

"Yes! I really want to go there and catch some Pikachus!" Violet said excitedly, almost bouncing in place.

I smiled. "Great… let's go then."

We looked at each other for a second—half nervous, half excited.

And then…

We clicked the button together.

A sudden force pulled us forward.

"Ahhh—!"

Everything spun, and within seconds, we were thrown onto the ground.

"Ouch…" I groaned, slowly pushing myself up.

"Are you guys okay?" Diana asked, looking around quickly.

"Yeah… I think so," I replied, brushing the dust off my clothes. "You?"

"I'm fine," she said.

"Guys—look!" Violet suddenly shouted.

We turned toward her.

And froze.

"We're… you were right, Vivian," she said, her voice full of shock and excitement. "We're inside the Pokémon world!"

I couldn't help but smile. "See? I told you guys. You just didn't believe me."

Diana sighed. "Okay… fine. Sorry."

"So…" Violet said, spinning around happily, "what do we do now?"

I looked down at my hands.

"Wait… look at this!"

Both of them rushed toward me.

"We have our own Poké Tabs… and Poké Balls!" I said, my eyes widening.

Diana picked one up. "This is actually insane."

Violet grinned. "Then what are we waiting for?"

"Let's explore the city!"

The city was nothing like I had ever seen before.

Tall buildings stood all around us, shining under the bright sky. People walked across the streets, talking, laughing… just like in the real world.

But there was one big difference.

Pokémon.

Everywhere.

Some were walking beside their trainers. Some were playing. Some were just relaxing in the sun.

It felt magical.

I couldn't stop looking around.

Everything felt so alive.

"Vivian! Come on!" Violet called, grabbing my hand.

Before I could react, she pulled me toward a nearby shop.

"Look at this! And this! And THIS!" she said, dragging me from one place to another.

I laughed. "Okay, okay! Slow down!"

But honestly…

I felt the same way.

My heart was racing with excitement.

For the first time in a long time…

I felt completely happy.

After hours of exploring, visiting shops, and even catching a few Pokémon, we were completely exhausted.

We finally sat down on a bench nearby.

"I can't… move anymore," Violet said dramatically.

Diana rolled her eyes. "You said that an hour ago."

I smiled and handed them juice bottles we bought earlier.

We sat there quietly for a moment, just enjoying everything.

Then suddenly…

Something felt off.

"Hey…" I said slowly, sitting up straight. "Doesn't it feel like we're missing something?"

Violet frowned. "Missing something? Like what?"

"I don't know… it just feels weird."

There was silence.

A strange, uncomfortable silence.

Then—

We both looked at each other.

Our eyes widened.

Our hearts dropped.

Our hands started trembling.

And at the exact same moment—

"Diana."

We turned toward her.

And what we saw…

made my stomach twist.

"Guys…?" Diana's voice came, shaky and distant.

She was standing a few steps away from us.

Surrounded.

By wild Pokémon.

And they didn't look friendly.
