Light brushed a few drops of water from his black shirt. He walked to the edge of the ship, his dark eyes locked entirely on the stone structure. His Observation Haki flared, sweeping over the fortress. He could feel them. Thousands upon thousands of auras, stacked vertically deep beneath the ocean's surface. A massive, suffocating concentration of human filth.

His system panel flickered to life in his peripheral vision, completely blank, waiting to be fed.

"We are here," Light stated, drawing his pitch-black saber. The steel hissed softly in the damp air. He turned back to the Straw Hats. "The alliance begins now. The objective is simple."

Light pointed at Luffy. "You will breach the main entrance. You will go loud. You will cause a level of property damage and chaos that forces Warden Magellan to completely redirect the prison's security apparatus toward you."

Light then looked down at Bonney.

"You stay with me—" Light ordered.

"NO!"

"I wanna do something too! No way! I'm strong too!!" Bonney immediately shot back, crossing her arms stubbornly.

"Are you now?!" Light spat, glaring at her. "Who is the one holding my legs like a chicken every time we fly, then?!"

"AAAAAA SHUT UPPP!" Bonney bared her teeth, stomping her tiny boot. "Also, I know what you're gonna do! It'll be so boring! I just wanna have an adventure, ok?!"

"...Fine."

"Do whatever you want," Light said. He felt a little angry.

What, do you like them so much now? What's so good about them anyway?

Shaking his head, looking at the four people, he was fairly certain that by relying on each other they could at least preserve their lives. He felt it was time to make sure Bonney didn't grow up to be a pampered princess, anyway.

Bonney crossed her tiny arms, pouting furiously, but she didn't argue further. She waddled over to Zoro, aggressively kicking the swordsman in the shin.

"Carry me, moss-head! My legs are too short for running!"

Zoro looked like he was about to commit murder. "I am not a pack mule, you little brat!"

"Just put her on your shoulders, Marimo," Sanji sighed, already exhausted. "If we leave her here, she'll probably eat the entire ship."

"Do not die before I get what I came for, Monkey D. Luffy," Light said, walking to the edge of the railing.

"I don't care," Luffy said, cracking his knuckles, his eyes burning with fierce resolve. "Ace, I'm going to save him!"

Luffy leaped onto the railing, his rubber arms stretching back behind him. He didn't wait for a tactical countdown. He didn't wait for the cover of darkness.

"Gomu Gomu no... ROCKET!"

Luffy launched himself off the ship like a slingshot, flying directly toward the massive front gates of the heavily guarded prison.

Zoro sighed, grabbing Bonney by the back of her oversized shirt and unceremoniously hoisting her onto his shoulders. She immediately began pulling his green hair like the reins of a horse.

"Let's go, Curly," Zoro grunted, drawing his blades. "Try not to slow me down."

Sanji ignited his leg, the flames reflecting in his eye. "Worry about yourself, Marimo."

The swordsman and the cook launched themselves after their captain, blurring across the water using the debris of a nearby, shattered pirate ship as stepping stones to reach the fortress.

Light watched the chaotic vanguard depart.

Within seconds, the deafening blare of security sirens echoed across the Calm Belt. Massive explosions erupted at the front gates as Luffy's fists began to shatter stone and steel. The entire defensive perimeter of Impel Down violently shifted its attention to the front door, thousands of Marine guards swarming the entrance to contain the three screaming lunatics and the laughing toddler.

Perfect.

Light didn't leap toward the front gates with frantic urgency. He simply waited. He listened to the beautiful symphony of alarms, crumbling masonry, and screaming guards.

When the dust had settled slightly and the main bulk of the security forces had chased Luffy deeper into the complex, Light stepped off the cruiser. Coating his boots lightly in Force Authority, he casually walked across the surface of the Calm Belt, his hands resting in his pockets.

He strolled right through the massive, smoking hole Luffy had just blown into the impregnable front doors of Impel Down.

The entrance hall was a wreck. Unconscious guards littered the floor. The heavy steel elevator doors leading to the lower levels had been violently wrenched open by raw physical strength.

Light didn't hurry. He began to descend the wide, spiraling stone stairs that led into the abyss.

As his boots touched the cold stone floor of Level 1, the Crimson Hell, the screams of tortured prisoners and the clashing of swords echoed from far ahead. The vanguard was already doing its job.

The False Deity walked slowly into the darkness, a gentle, chilling hum vibrating in his throat. He casually dragged the tip of his pitch-black saber against the stone wall, sending a shower of sparks into the dim corridor.

In his peripheral vision, the translucent blue interface of his system finally activated, projecting numbers over the terrified inmates pressed against their iron bars.

Tsk... so much trash?

Cleaning will take a lot of time, it seems.

Fixing the world, one step at a time, hmm.

The one called Deity hummed a tune from his hometown, and sliced bars and necks.
