[Ashton City]
My eyes diluted with blood, as my field of vision was soon dyed in red. What lay beneath me was no different, as a pool of blood surrounded my body which was rested on the surface of the cold, hard concrete floor.
I glanced at the person in front of me. A handsome man that looked no older than 25. Despite my field of vision dyed in red, I could still somewhat make out his appearance.
He had brown-auburn hair that shone beneath the moonlight, his eyes golden brown but you could feel the anger within. Below his eyes were dark shaded circles that you could say suited his looks. This man was my one and only, Father, Matteo Malloy.
The man stood before me; his arms locked in a defensive stance. His back shielded me, it gave me a slight sense of relief, yet I knew deep down it was inevitable.
'Father... I'm sorry for being so weak... I tried my best, I had even broken through F rank, but it wasn't enough...'
Even with the blood sweat and tears I laid out; it was all in vain. In this world, I was just a speck of dust compared to the monsters that roam. In a world where the strong devour the weak, it was about time.
Melancholy enveloped my body, as tears ran down my face. Not long after, my tears were blended with the blood making it difficult for my hands to break free. My heartbeat sped up, as my chest was engulfed in a piercing pain. It was as if miniature needles were piercing my chest from all sides.
"You fucking demon! What do you want?! Was what you've done to me not enough?!"
The sound came from my father; his voice laced with resentment. For as long as I remembered, he had always detested demons. The mere name of them would cause his body to shake in anger.
"You know what she wants, I'm just following orders, Human," The corner of the demon's mouth curled upwards, as a sinister smile grew.
The aura surrounding him was intense, the air felt dense which made it hard to breathe. He evoked fear, overthrowing the hate and melancholy that lingered inside of me.

'Fast. Too fast.'
My father's head dropped, as it came rolling down the floor before reaching me.
The air grew still, as sound was not processed by my ears.
There was no hesitation.
There was no chance to talk, just death.
The world seemed to have slowed down, and realisation struck seconds later. Emotions surged like a tsunami, my already ragged breathing further intensified.
Sadness
Anger
Fear…
All at once, it overwhelmed me. My body began to shake, and my hands soon reached my head. My nails struck deep into my scalp, as blood began dripping down the side of my face.
"Hahahhahaha"
I tried to form words, yet only laughter was heard. Laughter that was laced with exhaustion.
"You've finally lost it, keke"
A deep voice rang deep into my ears, but quickly came out of the other.
I couldn't think straight, my mind was all over the place. I knew one thing however, my life was miserable. The moment I was born, although I was born with talent it could only take me so far.
Jealousy, envy, lust or whatever...It all came to me. I was somehow an attraction to all these. It was like a moth to a flame. Soon enough, I was entangled with these people.
Not because it brought happiness into my life, but for survival.
Being born in the outskirts of Ashton city was never easy. It was a struggle for survival for my sister, father and I. My father had to work 3 jobs just get day to day, and it still wasn't enough.
When he would return home exhausted, he'd put a facade to keep my sister and I from worry. But I knew, I always knew.
When I had came of age, I began to help out but that didn't change much. I tried to help out, but it only brought sorrow to my life. I was beaten, robbed, assaulted and the cycle continued.
However, I persevered because I knew that once I got that scholarship from Lock I would get out of this shithole and help my family out. I especially wanted my 12 year old sister to have a better life. A life much better than what we have.
Since my public school contained grade school and high school I was able to protect my sister and keep her out of harms way.
But... But now that my father and I were out of the picture, how would she survive? One of the only people that gave me a reason to live would be left alone to fend for herself in a world where strength determined everything.
Helplessness sunk deep inside me.
'FUCKKK! WHY DOES THE WORLD HATE ME SO MUCH?!!'
A sudden burst of anger rang out, as I felt my blood flow increasing. My jaw tightened, as my hand curled into a fist.
However, it quickly subsided, before being shortly replaced by melancholy as a sudden wave of sadness erupted.
'What have I done to deserve this life?'
My father had perished, my life would soon be taken from me and my sister would be left alone.
All those hours of training and working had taken most of my time. I had sleepless nights. But in the end, it was all in vain. Useless.
'Why does the world hate me so much?'
My mind began to formulate ideas, but all of them left as fast as they came.
"Are you finished?"
An intense aura enveloped the surroundings, and I was quickly reminded of my situation. The demon walked towards me, his very movements gave the impression of authority.
Each step he took felt like my life was slowly being taken away from me.
'This is where my life ends. My existence's sole purpose was to suffer...'
-Crack
From above, the sky cracked into multiple parts. It cried and lashed out in deafening agony.
A sudden surge of energy descended before me, as I felt warmth quickly envelop my body.
========
Ayanokouji's back rested on his bed, his line of sight projected towards the dull-white ceiling. Whilst still in his uniform, he contemplated his recent actions.
It was not long after he had escaped the white room, and enrolled to ANHS. The number one school in the whole of Japan, which had created countless talented students that took over Japan.
However, his sole reason for enrolling was the fact that outside intervention was prohibited, giving him a sense of freedom. That's what he wanted to believe.
He knew deep down he was just caged, it was no different from the white room. However, instead of being surrounded by white walls he was surrounded by water that deluded him into believing he was truly free.
Although he was partially free from that Man's grasp, that didn't mean that he wouldn't find other means of taking me back.
"Haa.."
A sigh escaped my mouth, as my mind began to formulate thoughts.
However, strange enough, a sudden holographic dashboard appeared before me.
[Do you wish for freedom?]
{Yes/No}
It took a while before I got adjusted to this strange phenomenon. At first I thought I was seeing things, that it was a creation from my imagination. But that didn't seem to be the case. I traced my fingers along the edges, this verified that it was pretty much real.
Although my fingers phased right through, I could still feel the trace that ate up all the lingering doubt I had.
'Interesting, I've never heard of such phenomena.'
My eyes narrowed to the side of my bed, where a computer suddenly found its way rested on top of my table.
My senses felt electric, as I quickly had my guard up. I sat up, back straight and my body ready for what's to come.
'How did that get there?'
My eyes motioned from left to right, my eyes not once blinking as I carefully examined my room. Not a single area left unnoticed.
A moment of silence instilled inside the room, the air was thick and as tension plagued me. Seconds later tuned into minutes as I thoroughly inspected every corner of the room.
When I realised I was alone, my attention immediately faced my desk not far from where I sat. A computer with dust coating on, its edges were rough and a grey boring screen.
It had an odd glow that made it seem otherworldly. Its mere presence erupted chills inside of me.
The screen that had appeared before me not long ago had not disappeared. It was transparent, so I could still somewhat vividly see what was in front of me.
'I need more information...'
I stood up, slowly walking towards my desk when all of sudden, what once was the dull grey screen now was filled with words from the top to the very bottom from left to right.
The words may have been too much, as it began to overflow and float, as it moved outward— seeping through the edges of the old computer.
I took note of this, as not long after the information coming from the old computer began to envelop my room.
The words stuck towards the wall, floor, ceiling not leaving a single space open. Not long after, the room was covered with words that I could read but could not comprehend.
This was not because I didn't know what these words meant, but because I didn't know what it was trying to convey.
I noticed the repeated words shown, and was left even more confused.
'Akashic records? Ren Dover? Demon king? Kevin Voss?'
What did they represent? I started to recall my memories, taking to account these names but was left disappointed.
'I've never heard of these people... Demon King, hm'
Demon king is something you'd only find in fiction, yet why was it constantly written? Did it have a deeper meaning, implicit?
-Glitch
The screen before me started to glitch uncontrollably, appearing in different places each time. Each second, the screen multiplied similarly to the words that enveloped my room.
It was like a virus, it's sole purpose on to multiply.
The difference only was that it surround my entire field of vision, forbidding me from seeing the carved words spread across my room.
They all asked the same question.
[*+| you wish for freedom?]
{Yes/No}
[Do you wish for freedom?~><_{%
{Yes/No}
[Do you wish for freed£+!?]
{Yes/No}
Although they were similar, the words inside each box glitched leading to several words changing.
There had to be reason as to why this is happening.
'Impatient. The source from where it came may be running out of power.'
I thought.
I lifted my hand, I pointed it towards the direction of the options but before I could, my consciousness began to drift away.
My body felt numb, as if my body had been in a vegetative state. My mind was no different, as a wave of unknown energy invaded.
I knew something though, this person or something was not willing to take no as an answer. They needed something, and that happened to be me.
'So this is what you've resorted to, huh?'
It was a lie if I said I wasn't infuriated. I knew full well the person behind this wasn't your typical Joe. With the power he has, taking him on would be foolish.
However, I'll show him the scope of his actions. Using me does not come without consequences.
In the end, I will be the victor. It doesn't matter what has to be sacrificed or how long it will take...
'I will win.'
My last thoughts before I completely lost consciousness.
