Story:
At the edge of a quiet village, there stood an old house that no one dared to visit. People said it was strange. Some believed it was haunted, while others said it was just empty and forgotten. But everyone agreed on one thing—something about that house was not normal.
One evening, a curious boy named Arif decided to find out the truth. He had heard many stories from his friends, but he didn't believe in them. "There's nothing to be afraid of," he told himself.
As the sun slowly disappeared, Arif walked down the lonely road that led to the house. The wind was cold, and the trees made soft whispering sounds. When he finally reached the gate, it creaked loudly as he pushed it open.
The house looked even stranger up close. The windows were broken, and the door was slightly open. It felt like the house was waiting for him.
Arif took a deep breath and stepped inside.
The air was cold and dusty. Every step he took made a noise. Suddenly, he heard something move upstairs. He froze. His heart started beating fast.
"Is someone there?" he called out.
No answer.
Slowly, he walked up the stairs. The sound came again—like footsteps. But when he reached the top, there was no one. Just an empty hallway and a single door at the end.
The door slowly opened by itself.
Arif's hands began to shake, but he didn't run. He walked closer and looked inside. The room was dark, but he could see something glowing in the corner.
It was an old mirror.
As he stepped closer, he saw his reflection… but something was wrong.
The reflection was smiling.
Arif wasn't.
Suddenly, the mirror cracked, and the light disappeared. Everything became silent again.
Terrified, Arif ran out of the house as fast as he could. He didn't stop until he reached his home.
The next day, he told everyone what he saw. Some people believed him, and some didn't. But Arif never went near that house again.
And from that night, people said the house became even more strange… as if it had found someone new to remember.
