Summoning is not simple magic. It is the act of inviting something from beyond the Veil into the human world and binding it through a contract forged with a higher existence.
You do not command a summon but negotiate or you are consumed.

No human can summon powerful entities on their own. To do so, an Awakened must form a contract with a Deity or Fallen Deity,
becoming a Conduit through which summoned beings can manifest.
The Contract Grants:
•Authority to call specific classes of spirits
•The ability to bind and direct them
•Partial resistance to their corruption
The Contract Takes:
•Lifespan, sanity, or physical vitality
•Emotional or sensory loss
•Permanent spiritual marking
The stronger the summon the heavier the cost.
