Three figures occupied the quiet room.
Snow stood quietly by the window, Michael sat on his bed and Angelina was catching her breath seated down on a floor of smooth wooden tiles.
"Now Senior" Snow said to Michael as he was two grades higher than him.
"You don't strike me as a person who is into shady stuff. "
Looking back at Michael with his head tilt eyes sharp "So how did you exactly get tied in with the Assassins guild"
Michael was beginning to suspect that tilting his head was one of Snow's habits. This was already the third time he had done it.
Taking a deep breath, Michael calmed his nerves.
"Huuu…"
"Would you believe me if I told you I'm not from any high families or anything like that."
"I'm just a nobody an orphan my parents died in the Galaxy war, I was left abandoned among countless other children. "
"The Assassin's Guild raided our orphanage when I had only just begun using my abilities." he let out a bitter laugh.
"All the sisters from the orphanage where killed, everyone...." tears flowed from his eyes.
"Everyone was killed…"
Michael's voice cracked.
"Everyone except me."
Snow looked at Michael silently.
Deep within him, something unfamiliar stirred. Sorrow stirred within him, yet it felt foreign… as though it belonged to someone else. He looked at Angelina.
Angelina sat quietly in the corner, sympathy and sadness fully etched across her face. It's like she could relate to Michael, how Snow did not know yet. One thing was true then he felt her sorrow before he could see it this was something he had to look into later.
He looked back to Michael as the boy continued
"I was so scared but despite that I morphed into one of them and tried to run but back then I couldn't control my ability well especially under all that pressure so it got undone."
"The guy you killed lastly outside he took me in because of my ability he said it was useful and could be of great help to them"
"He wasn't wrong about that."Snow replied
" Your ability is a very amazing ability it can either make you rise or hunted depending on the path you take. "
Michael nodded sensing a deeper meaning behind Snows words.
" So..... " ehem a cough resounded.
"There's no need for you to continue, boy. We can already guess the rest from your earlier conversation with that man."
" She had already helped Snow fill in the blanks using their telepathy as it was way faster than normal speech.
Snow returned to his usual thinking pose before letting out a quiet sigh.
" Senior Michael you know where I come from and my background so you are obviously a threat to me.
Michael clenched his hands on his knees into fists head down as he sat on his bed its like he was making decisions.
" Master I don't mean to disrespect but can I talk to him first before you let him decide. "she spoke in his mind.
Snow looked at Angelina her eyes were clear she already knew what he was about to do he thought. He smiled at her subtly just enough for her to notice something he does to no one except his mother and the beast in the mist.
Angelina was shocked this was her first time seeing the boy smile and she really preferred if it was like this way often than his usual face but alas.
"I lost my family in the galaxy war as well I wasn't as young as you when it happened tho." she looked at Michael.
Michael looked back at her his lower lip tightly bit between his teeth.
"I suffered too. I had no choice but to work for myself"
Angelina lowered her gaze
"I joined the Assassins Guild to survive... but to them, I was nothing more than a slave."
"I did all I could to survive but I was weak."
"They finally sent me to a mission I couldn't survive." Angelina smiled remembering her first time meeting Snow. A boy moving across the terrain fast and swift like an inborn hunter experienced and shocking. Snow had left a deep impression on her as matter of fact she knew it was a mission in vain but had to do so to survive anyways.
She looked back up and saw the two boys staring at her, her master and another with a past similar to hers.
Snow and Michael were already invested into her words to look away. It wasn't until she looked back at them they realized.
"He saved me. He gave me a light to follow in the dark… despite being the person I was sent to kill." " she smiled
"He gave me power, purpose… and a new flame to follow."
Angelina looked at Michael quietly.
"So think carefully before making your decision."
Snow looked at Angelina a new found emotion in his heart, She was slowly becoming someone important to him.
With a more relaxed expression this time he looked at Michael he already knew what to say.
" I could use your talent senior, I can grant you power and if you are loyal to me I will treat you as my own family."
"Sleep on it senior" with that he exited the room.
