As, the secretary said the new recurit's name, Dr. Sterling nodded with exictment as if he had been waiting to meet this person for a very long time.
It was 2:00 p.m. , when Rohan was on the Aether's rescue boat heading towards the Island. Getting fascinated by the large and tall buildings and the dome at the top of the island, he couldn't wait any longer to meet the head scientist of Aether.
Rohan was actually selected to be a part of a very special forces of the Aether organization, that dealed with greater dangers and creatures, which were out of the ability of the normal squads and forces to handle. He had the highest score in the Aether Entrance exam and passed all the medical and physical tests, and proved to be talented and perfect for the forces.
As Rohan entered the buildings through the gigantic gate, the boat on which Rohan was, slowly stopped near one of the docks, guarded highly by guards. He was then, lead to the main gate of the actual building, by the head of the security of the Aether Organization, named Ejaz.
Rohan tried to have a conversation with him.
"Hey, bubby.. how many years, have u worked here?", said Rohan.
"Shut up, my job is to lead u to Dr.Sterling and not anwser ur goddam Questions", said Ejaz.
"Oh god, chill man.. Can i get your name atleast?", said Rohan with a awkward smile.
Ejaz just stared into his eyes, as if any momment he would use his gun and make 4mm bullets go down Rohan's throat.
But soon they two reached the door that of the head scientist's dome. The gate was not that massive but looked menacing enough, to make Rohan scared of whatever experiments or scientific things that the doctor may have done behind that door.
But as the door opener, to Rohan's shock, instead of seeing a lab with various disguisting experiments with cutted body parts stored in different jugs and containers. He instead saw a clear room with a bed at the top and staircases leading down towards the gate, with two room being to the right and left of the gate as one enters it.
Dr. Sterling ordered Ejaz to move away and get back to duty. As Ejaz moved back, Rohan tried to make a face and try to mock Ejaz, but as he tried, Dr. Sterling interrupted.
"So Rohan, I have been very patient, yet very exicted to meet you. A guy like you comes in a 1000 years or even yes.", said by Sterling as he turns towards the large window and seeing at the bright and white sun.
"Hm... yes. But i am not that special. I am just a guy who makes jokes and wants to save oth--!", said Rohan, and before he could finish his sentence, Dr. Sterling interrupted.
"That place may have destroyed u completely, but yet a single piece of that hope still resides within you. Impressive", said Sterling.
As he turned around, to face Rohan. He saw Rohan, who was just a sec before, was joking around and was now standing there with his fists tigthen and eyes watered. Rohan remembered a dark and violent part of his life, which he really didnt wanted to remember..
"Rohan, lets not talk about it. Rohan, your are now a man, who has proved himself to be the human who can save this land from the Yazatas and the Divs. I will soon get u metup with ur fellow team members but for now, u are expected to go to ur room and not leave it before any further notice.", said Dr.Sterling.
Rohan nodded and walked out of the room with his back facing the Doctor, who smiled as Rohan left the room.
Rohan while walking down the corridor, which was empty with no guards, was found to be extremely weird to Rohan, but nevertheless, he continued. But as he passed a room with a brownish-copper door, he was pulled inside the door with a tenticle....
