The battlefield at this moment was strangely abnormal.
Normally, once top Marine figures appeared on the battlefield, Shiki, Whitebeard, Roger, and the others would immediately stop fighting—either retreating or joining forces against the Marines.
No one wanted to be the fool who kept fighting here only to let the Marines reap the benefits in the end.
But this time was different.
Garp wasn't even going after Roger!
That alone left Whitebeard, Shiki, and the others completely stunned!
Sengoku and Zephyr had charged in without even saying a word, directly ganging up on World and beating him down mercilessly. Meanwhile, Garp didn't join them—instead, he went off to deal with that "rookie" from the Roger Pirates, which made Whitebeard and Shiki feel rather out of sync with the situation.
Help World?
Forget it.
That guy was notoriously unpopular across the seas. Like a madman, he picked fights with everyone he met, and he had even barged into their battlefield uninvited, throwing their original plans into complete chaos.
Not helping him was already giving him face—if anything, they'd be justified in kicking him while he was down.
From this alone, it was clear: not only did the World Government want to get rid of World as soon as possible, even the top pirates had no liking for him whatsoever.
Looking at the Roger Pirates, they also showed no intention of helping Valthior deal with Garp. After a quick exchange of thoughts, Newgate and the others simply ignored it and continued fighting their own battles.
But it was obvious—the atmosphere had completely changed.
Aside from the World Pirates, who were still fighting desperately, everyone else's mindset had shifted.
The Whitebeard Pirates and the Flying Pirate Fleet, who had originally come here for a decisive battle, no longer carried that intense killing intent. The Roger Pirates were even more so—looking like they were ready to withdraw at any moment.
As a result, their clashes were no longer as fierce.
In contrast, the fighting on Linderland Island itself was extremely intense.
World was facing two opponents alone, being relentlessly beaten down by Sengoku and Zephyr. Although he hadn't fallen yet and could still resist to some extent, there was a high chance he would sink here today.
As for Valthior and Garp…
At this moment, Garp wore a savage grin, rolling his wrists as he walked toward the crater.
"What's wrong? Can't even take one punch? Young people these days really—"
Before he could finish, a surge of freezing energy suddenly erupted from within the crater, instantly sweeping across the surroundings.
Silver-white frost spread across the ground, freezing everything in its path. The biting cold brushed past Garp, frosting over the edges of his clothes and even the tips of his hair.
Valthior's partially transformed figure climbed out of the crater.
He was now even more massive than before, muscles bulging beneath silver-white fur. At the center of his forehead grew a crystalline horn of frost, glowing faintly. Five tails swayed behind him, while whisker-like tendrils framed his tiger-leopard-like face. His sharp fangs radiated ferocity and dominance.
Without even actively using his ability, an extreme chill emanated from his body. Moisture in the air froze upon contact, turning into drifting frost—as if he carried his own visual effect with him.
Where he stood, snow and frost fell.
"Never seen this kind of Mythical Zoan before…" Garp raised an eyebrow.
Before he could finish speaking, Valthior raised a claw and slashed through the air.
In the next instant, a howling gale erupted, carrying endless frost as it surged toward Garp.
Winter always came with freezing winds—and as a Mythical Zoan user, how could Valthior's power be limited to just ice? The storm itself was part of his domain!
In almost an instant, everything within a thousand-meter radius around the two of them was swallowed by a blinding white storm. To the naked eye, nothing inside could be seen.
At first, Garp didn't think much of the storm.
But after only a few breaths, he noticed something unusual.
The temperature was plummeting rapidly.
Each breath caused a faint stabbing pain in his lungs. The freezing wind stripped away his body heat at an alarming rate—he could even clearly feel his stamina beginning to drop!
Before he could think further, his arm suddenly moved, coated in Haki, raising into a defensive block.
With the whiteout conditions and Valthior's silver fur blending into the storm, visual tracking was nearly impossible. Garp relied entirely on Observation Haki.
Sure enough, the moment he took his stance, Valthior's beastly arm burst out from the storm and slammed hard against Garp's guard.
Feeling the force through his arm, Garp grinned.
"Not bad! But still far from enough!"
But just as he finished speaking, two silver-white tails flashed past his vision, instantly wrapping around his wrists and locking his arms in place.
Immediately after, three more tails followed—two binding his ankles, and one coiling tightly around his neck.
Before Garp could react, Valthior's massive figure emerged head-on from the storm, fists clenched and coated in Haki, ready to unleash a barrage of heavy blows.
But Garp was no one to be restrained so easily.
Even though Valthior, as a Mythical Zoan user, possessed immense physical strength and incredibly tough, powerful tails, Garp's strength needed no explanation.
Before Valthior's punches could land, Garp roared and flexed, instantly breaking free of the restraints on his arms.
Valthior had expected him to defend.
But instead, Garp didn't block at all.
He simply raised both fists and charged forward, meeting Valthior head-on in a brutal exchange of blows.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG!!!
A series of heavy impacts echoed continuously within the freezing storm.
Two blurred figures stood their ground, trading punches at blinding speed—neither dodging, neither retreating, just pure, relentless striking.
In just a few breaths, Valthior and Garp had exchanged over a dozen punches each!
Then, the three tails binding Garp loosened first.
Valthior's figure rapidly retreated into the storm, while Garp lifted a hand to rub his slightly swollen, blood-streaked mouth, bursting into laughter.
"That's it? I thought you could last a bit longer! Hahahahaha!"
Not far away, Valthior panted heavily, baring his teeth.
A closer look revealed that the crystalline horn on his head had been shattered at some point. His face was bruised and swollen, and even his fur-covered chest muscles were dented unevenly—clear signs of having been hammered by heavy blows.
As for Garp, he wasn't unscathed either.
The corner of his mouth was split and bleeding from Valthior's hits, bruised slightly. His arms showed signs of frostbite—caused by the backlash of striking Valthior's freezing body. His gray-white suit was tattered in several places.
But his overall presence hadn't diminished in the slightest—he still carried the overwhelming aura of a top-tier powerhouse.
"I already knew you were tough… but if I didn't test it myself, it just wouldn't sit right with me…" Valthior clicked his tongue.
Back at God Valley, he had already seen Garp tank an attack from Charlotte Linlin without a scratch. He knew full well that in a straight fistfight, he had no advantage against Garp.
But still…
After getting slammed into the ground earlier, and seeing Garp's arrogant attitude, he couldn't help but feel irritated.
If he didn't trade blows with him head-on, he wouldn't be able to vent that frustration.
Otherwise, it would feel like he was afraid.
Now, even though he hadn't gained any advantage, just going toe-to-toe like that made him feel much better.
Garp chuckled at his words, then glanced at the raging froststorm around them. The pain in his lungs was worsening, and his stamina was draining faster than normal.
"This wind's too cold. I don't like it!"
The moment he finished speaking, an overwhelming burst of Conqueror's Haki erupted from his body.
He crossed his arms, then suddenly spread them apart, striking outward with both fists.
BOOM!
Two shockwaves, infused with immense force and Conqueror's Haki, blasted outward, engulfing the entire storm.
With unstoppable power, the frost-laden gale was completely shattered!
"Only Haki reigns supreme over everything, kid!!!" Garp roared with wild laughter after dispersing the storm.
