​An hour had passed since the violent rocking of the car had finally subsided, leaving a heavy and quiet stillness in the small, confined space. The frantic moans that had filled the vehicle were replaced by the sound of two people breathing in unison, their heart rates gradually returning to a normal rhythm. Noah felt the fog of his heat beginning to dwindle significantly, and for the first time since they had left the university, he was able to think with a sense of clear and grounded logic. The delirium that had seized his mind was gone, replaced by a sharp and slightly overwhelming awareness of his current position.
