Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: “Visiting” the Fatui

Option 1: Please have Miss Ningguang choose a suitable collection for us.

Option 2: Can we just take the cash equivalent?

Option 3: Thank you, but there's no need.

Stelle bit on her straw, sliding the cursor back and forth between the three options, unable to decide.

[Wolf Cub chose 1 and got a 5-star artifact. Little Gui chose 2 and got 200,000 Mora.]

[It's probably choose one or the other. Choosing 3 might be the classic "you get neither."]

"Oh, so choosing 3 might mean getting neither."

Stelle thought for a moment. She moved the cursor to Option 3 and said: "I am an upright person. I never take small advantages."

The plot entered a black screen and the following text appeared:

"Ningguang continued exchanging pleasantries with you. In the end, you reluctantly accepted the gift and Mora she gave you."

Stelle's account received one 5-star artifact and 200,000 Mora.

[No, this person really turns even choosing an option into a show.]

[miHoYo, this is a bit much. You put the "take everything" option under the one that usually means "I don't want anything."]

[Silver Wolf and Little Gui fell into habitual thinking. They didn't expect that you have to break the pattern to get the best reward.]

[Wait? Stelle's artifact substats look a bit off. 3.9 + 7.8? And it has ATK% too!]

"These substats are really good, but unfortunately it's a Noblesse Oblige piece." Stelle said with some regret.

After locking the Noblesse Oblige flower that Ningguang gave her, Stelle followed the quest marker and left the Jade Chamber.

Seeing Yunshang walking toward her, Stelle visibly became happy.

Having been influenced by Kafka since childhood, she had almost no resistance toward this type of big (emphasized) sister.

Although Stelle's favorite was the young-girl type like her roommate March 7th, that did not stop her from loving big (emphasized) sisters deeply.

This was also why the viewers called her a lesbian.

To this, Stelle said that her sexual orientation was free. Sometimes she even thought her own trash can looked quite handsome.

"Eh? We're going with Wife Yunshang to fight the Fatui?"

——Teyvat

"A commission?" Paimon tilted her head and said.

"Yes. I heard that you two once resolved Mondstadt's dragon disaster through a commission from the Knights." Yunshang said.

[Knights? Wasn't it Brother Bai's commission?]

[This is probably the public version of the story. After all, Brother Bai keeps a very low profile outside.]

[Am I the only one whose focus is on the fact that our battle against Dvalin is already known to everyone in Liyue?]

"Dragon disaster… uh, actually we were just the assistants." Paimon said.

This was clearly polite talk, so Yunshang directly ignored it. She said sincerely: "Why don't you two listen to my commission first?"

"Please speak freely." Lumine said.

Yunshang took out a map and handed it to the two, saying: "Please take a look. This is the Fatui's stronghold in Tianheng Mountain. According to my intelligence, the Fatui seem to be secretly replicating the All-Taboo Talisman inside the stronghold."

"All-Taboo Talisman?" Paimon asked in confusion.

Yunshang briefly explained the All-Taboo Talisman, then said: "I have already received a message from my brother and learned about the breaking of the seal at Guyun Stone Forest."

"Combining this with the replication of the All-Taboo Talisman, the Fatui's goal is probably to wait until the seal has broken to a certain extent, then use the All-Taboo Talisman to completely destroy the seal."

"Eh? Ehh——" Upon hearing this, Paimon was greatly alarmed.

She looked at Lumine with a tense tone: "Lumine, this absolutely cannot be allowed to happen. We must stop the Fatui!"

Lumine nodded firmly: "Liyue Harbor and the Guili Assembly still need time to prepare." She looked at Yunshang and said, "There's no time to lose. Let's set off now."

"Thank you for being willing to help." Yunshang smiled, "The Guili Assembly will prepare generous compensation to express our gratitude to you two."

[Generous compensation… Does anyone remember Jun Bai's evaluation of the Ziwei siblings?]

[Is it the line "If even one word out of every three sentences you and Yunshang say together is true, that would already be impressive"?]

[So after the undercover storyline, Wife Yunshang is now going to get something for nothing?]

They accepted Yunshang's commission. Then, under Yunshang's lead, the group headed together toward Tianheng Mountain.

Facing the Fatui Skirmishers inside the stronghold, Lumine hesitated before taking out the Sword of Descension.

The Favonius Sword was after all a gift from the Knights and should be properly kept. Although the Sword of Descension was also a gift from a friend, since Kaeya had said he hoped it could be of help in her adventures~

"Do you have a battle plan?" Lumine asked.

"No need. If they are doing something like this, broadly speaking, Liyue already has a reason to send troops to Snezhnaya." Yunshang took out a crimson bow and arrow, "So there is no need to give Snezhnaya any face. We charge straight in."

Charge straight in? Lumine was stunned: "It's not a matter of not giving face, but…"

Before she could finish, Yunshang pulled the bowstring to a full moon. A rock-element arrow formed between her fingers. She released her fingers, and the arrow fell toward the Fatui stronghold.

Geo energy exploded. The powerful blast directly destroyed part of the buildings.

All the Fatui Skirmishers inside the stronghold instantly became alert and rushed toward the explosion site.

[Charge straight in? Two against many, advantage: us!]

[How did she make an explosion with Geo?]

[Question: Is this a charged Geo shot, or is it Klee's Jumpy Dumpty?]

"Ehh—— We're really charging straight in?"

Paimon let out a sharp shriek.

There were only three people in total. She only had the strength of one-fifth of a wild boar and could basically be disregarded in combat.

So although it looked like three people, in reality only two could actually fight.

Two people against at least twenty Fatui Skirmishers in the stronghold? Even though Paimon was very confident in Lumine's skills, she still had no confidence in this situation.

Yunshang did not answer. She charged directly toward the main Fatui force.

Lumine and Paimon exchanged a glance, saw helplessness in each other's eyes, and thus Lumine could only accompany her to the end. Holding the Sword of Descension, she charged after Yunshang.

The two met the marching troop formed by the Fatui Skirmishers head-on.

The players in the parallel world once again welcomed a cutscene that could be called a visual feast——

Yunshang walked quickly in high-heeled boots. While moving, she continuously pulled the bowstring to a full moon. One after another, Geo arrows fell into the Fatui marching formation, producing successive explosions.

Graceful as a startled swan, lithe as a roaming dragon. Her slender and elegant figure was like a nimble spirit.

Her posture was extremely beautiful, yet the bow and arrows in her hands possessed terrifying destructive power.

A Pyro Gunner Skirmisher raised his gun and sniped at the figure constantly approaching the marching line.

Bullets wrapped in Pyro kept approaching Yunshang, but Yunshang's expression remained calm.

She gently tilted her head, dodging the bullet. Then her gaze fell on the Pyro Gunner Skirmisher. She pulled the bowstring to a full moon and fired a Geo arrow.

The arrow hit its mark. The Pyro Gunner Skirmisher was swallowed by the explosion and slammed into the wall, unconscious.

A shadow covered Yunshang. Looking up, she saw a Hydro Heavy Shield Mitachurl descending from the sky.

Yunshang rolled forward, dodging the Hydro Heavy Shield Mitachurl's attack range. Then Geo energy surged. Hard rock blades covered both sides of the bow, transforming the string-drawn bow into a melee bow-blade.

(The bow-blade design references Kamen Rider Blade, the bow-blade of Chalice.)
