Josh wakes up like usual ready for school, today is Friday 26th September 2025, it's finally the end of the week. He sits up slowly already hungry and tired, he yawns, then a magical system pops up in front of him, he has been selected of one of the billions of people to earn this system,
"What the hell is this?" Josh muttered still half asleep thinking that he's hallucinating or something.
Josh swipes the air and the system fades away so Josh, still half asleep gets up to have breakfast as Thats all he really cares about right now.
Now that Josh has had breakfast, he still stays in the dining room as he decides to check his phone like usual, tho unlike the normal stuff he usually sees, whatever the hell he experienced earlier was a global phenomenon which means it's probably real, not just a hallucination. Josh tries to open it again, the system appears,
"Jeez, this is real?" He questioned himself.
Josh looks to see if he can do something with it and he finds an Introduction message for him. Josh clicks to open the message and the system starts speaking in his head.
"You are allowed to select a bug colony of any choice that you can physically find and go to, once you claimed one as your own you will become like a god of that bug colony."
The system announces inside Josh's mind.
Josh stands outside his backyard and walks up to the dying orange tree and watches ants scurry around on it with the entrance to the ant nest being right next to the bottom of the tree trunk,
"Hey system I choose this colony." Josh mentions as he looks at it.
The system appears again,
"Colony Selected, carpenter ant colony." the system states.
The system shows Josh his colony's ant count.
"one point five thousand?" Josh says shocked that he has that many ants.
Josh remembers he has school today and checks his watch.
"It's 7:51, I should get ready for school." Josh sighs, He knows school will be in choas with everyone getting powers.
