Chapter 59 - The Man in the Lobby

Alexander Vane is handsome in an obvious way—the kind of handsome that feels practiced and polished and completely intentional. His hair is perfect in that effortless way that probably takes an hour to achieve. His smile is warm and inviting, the smile of someone who has learned exactly how to make people trust him. His suit is expensive and well-tailored, hugging his broad shoulders in all the right places. He looks like he's stepped out of a magazine spread titled "How to Look Like You Own Everything," and the worst part is that he probably believes it.
