Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Origins 18+

Faint morning light filtered through the window, casting a dim glow over the bed. The soft rays illuminated Xu Ruizhi's handsome face as his long, upturned eyelashes fluttered like butterfly wings a few times before he slowly opened his eyes.

"Hiss..." He lowered his head and looked at Fang Hanmeng nestled in his arms. She was sleeping soundly on his chest, her fair, jade-like hands gripping his shoulders tightly as if afraid of losing him. The summer quilt had slipped down to her waist, revealing a glimpse of alluring spring scenery. Her two slender, pale legs were shamelessly entwined between his, clinging to him like an octopus.

None of that mattered much. What truly stood out was that Xu Ruizhi's thick member was still buried inside Fang Hanmeng's delicate petals. Feeling the tingling numbness and moist warmth from her cervix gripping the tip of his glans, Xu Ruizhi couldn't help but suck in a sharp breath, thinking to himself: This enchantress really is a juice-squeezer!

"Mmm..." Just as Xu Ruizhi was about to gently lift Fang Hanmeng's head from his chest, he inadvertently woke her. A lazy, seductive woman's voice sounded by his ear.

Fang Hanmeng slowly raised her head, her stunningly beautiful face filled with confusion and bewilderment. Her sparkling, watery eyes glimmered with a dazed charm. She blinked a few times, looked up at Xu Ruizhi, yawned, and asked groggily, "Big brother, are you awake?"

"Yeah..." Xu Ruizhi nodded. Seeing Fang Hanmeng's irresistibly tempting appearance, his heartbeat instantly quickened, and his throat grew dry. He couldn't help but swallow hard, his gaze shifting to admire Fang Hanmeng's snow-white, delicate skin—smooth as fine jade. Especially her two proud, ample peaks, which swayed enticingly with her movements, exuding a soul-stirring allure.

"Sleep a little longer. You stayed up late yesterday, and it's still early," Xu Ruizhi said, forcing himself to suppress the restlessness within. He turned his gaze toward the window, trying hard to calm his emotions.

"But I'm hungry," Fang Hanmeng pouted, speaking with a pitiful tone.

"I'll go buy you something to eat!" Xu Ruizhi hurriedly tried to sit up.

Pop!!! At that moment, a crisp sound echoed in Xu Ruizhi's ears. He suddenly felt a chill below as his thick member slipped out of Fang Hanmeng's warm, soft place, followed by the sound of her satisfied moan.

"Huff... huff..." Fang Hanmeng closed her eyes, breathing heavily. Her slender, pale arms wrapped around his neck as she whispered breathlessly, "Big brother... that felt so good..."

"..." Xu Ruizhi was stunned for a moment before he finally snapped back to reality. He looked down and saw that his thick, erect member had completely withdrawn from Fang Hanmeng's body, now standing stiff and upright. The large, firm shaft was still glistening with a translucent fluid. He then glanced at Fang Hanmeng's alluring and sensual figure, her skin flushed with a faint rosy hue from his earlier movements. Her delicate cheeks were tinged with an intoxicating blush, her fine brows slightly furrowed, her eyes shimmering with a hint of spring, and her cherry lips slightly parted as she bit down on her tender lower lip. She looked utterly pitiful and endearing, her long, shapely legs swaying freely. Her entire body resembled a ripe, juicy peach, with the towering peaks of her chest heaving intensely, irresistibly tempting.

Looking further down, Xu Ruizhi could clearly see the lush, verdant patch between Fang Hanmeng's legs, the deep, secluded valley, and the delicate, crimson petals faintly dotted with glistening droplets—evidence of her earlier arousal.

"Ahem... sorry, I wasn't paying attention just now," Xu Ruizhi coughed awkwardly a few times, quickly cupping Fang Hanmeng's plump buttocks with both hands and placing her back on the bed. As he set her down, he couldn't resist giving her firm, rounded rear a gentle pat, secretly admiring its springy resilience.

"Big brother is so mean, bullying me like that," Fang Hanmeng mumbled, her large, dark eyes now tinged with a mix of embarrassment and reproach.

"Alright, alright, it's my fault. Be good now, get some rest. I'll go buy you breakfast," Xu Ruizhi coaxed, picking up his pants from nearby and putting them on as he prepared to leave the room.

"Big brother, don't go. Stay and lie with me a little longer," Fang Hanmeng reached out and grabbed Xu Ruizhi, pouting playfully.

"Alright, I'll be back soon, I promise," Xu Ruizhi patiently reassured her. Sighing inwardly, he thought, there's no helping it—girls who have just lost their virginity are always extra sensitive, and even Fang Hanmeng, with her intellectual disability, was no exception.

"Really?" Fang Hanmeng opened her drowsy eyes and stared at Xu Ruizhi.

"Of course. I'd be a dog if I lied to you," Xu Ruizhi reached out and gently stroked Fang Hanmeng's pretty nose bridge, smiling affectionately.

"Okay then, but come back quickly!" Fang Hanmeng released her grip on Xu Ruizhi's shoulder, crossing her long, fair legs as she sat up straight. A faint blush spread across her delicate face as she spoke in a sweet, coquettish tone.

Xu Ruizhi quickly turned his head away, not daring to look at the tantalizing sight any longer. He murmured an acknowledgment and turned to walk out the door.

Watching Xu Ruizhi's retreating figure, a blissful smile spread across Fang Hanmeng's delicate face. She picked up the thin blanket beside her, draped it over her full, curvaceous body, and closed her eyes...

After arriving in the living room, Xu Ruizhi glanced at the bathtub and toiletries, then turned to look at the clock on the wall—5:24 a.m. He sighed helplessly, tidied up briefly, grabbed his keys, and stepped out. After locking the door, he turned around and looked up at the gray, overcast sky. Dawn was just breaking, the sun not yet fully risen, and a thick layer of fog still shrouded the sky, casting everything in a hazy blur.

Xu Ruizhi took a deep breath and thought to himself: I wonder how Mom is doing. Is she still in the hospital?

She must be so worried, realizing I haven't come home.

Xu Ruizhi grew increasingly remorseful the more he thought about it. Her mother loved her so dearly, yet she had caused her mother grief. With this thought, Xu Ruizhi couldn't help but feel the urge to return to the hospital.

Turning her head to glance at the unfinished building behind her, she couldn't help but let out a bitter smile. She still hadn't dealt with the two beauties at home, and now there was another one. Sigh... her luck with women was just too overwhelming!

"Self-inflicted suffering, no one else to blame!" Xu Ruizhi muttered self-mockingly before quickening her pace forward.

...

After exiting the street corner, Xu Ruizhi walked along the road.

Only a few scattered vehicles passed by, and occasionally one or two hurried pedestrians. Street cleaners were busy sweeping the streets. As Xu Ruizhi walked, she kept an eye out for any breakfast stalls or similar vendors nearby.

After walking a short distance, Xu Ruizhi suddenly noticed a man in his thirties by the roadside, busy setting up a stall. His stall consisted of a small wooden table with over a dozen bowls and a pile of plastic bags.

"Two bowls of soy milk and three portions of fried dough sticks," Xu Ruizhi said as she approached the man.

"Sorry, we only have tofu pudding and fried dough sticks," the man looked up, revealing a simple and honest face, and replied with a warm smile before continuing to focus on his work at the stall.

"That's fine. Then two bowls of tofu pudding and three portions of fried dough sticks," Xu Ruizhi replied with a faint smile. Honestly, she preferred tofu pudding over soy milk.

"Alright," the man agreed cheerfully.

While the man was busy, Xu Ruizhi struck up a casual conversation with him, asking, "Uncle, how long have you been running this stall? You're out so early."

"Almost a year now," the man paused his work, looked up, and said with a warm smile. "At first, I sold side dishes, but later I realized there wasn't much profit in it. So I started this breakfast stall, selling tofu pudding and such to make a little money to support my family. My mother passed away a few days ago, and she didn't even get to see her son one last time before she left."

As he spoke, the man sighed and then added apologetically, "Look at me, why am I talking about this? Let me get your tofu pudding ready." He then asked, "Do you want savory tofu pudding or sweet tofu pudding?"

"Savory," Xu Ruizhi replied without hesitation.

"Alright," the man nodded and continued working.

"How's the foot traffic around here?" Xu Ruizhi asked, observing the surroundings.

"It's not bad. Even though there aren't many people now, it'll get busier soon, and I'll be swamped," the man replied while working.

Hearing this, Xu Ruizhi suddenly had an idea and asked, "Uncle, do you know this area well?"

"Well... I'm not sure if I do," the man hesitated for a moment before shaking his head.

Xu Ruizhi pointed toward the unfinished building in the distance and asked, "I heard there's something unclean in that unfinished building. Is that true?"

The man followed Xu Ruizhi's finger and glanced in that direction, his eyes flickering slightly. He quickly shook his head and said, "No, I don't know... Young lady, don't make wild guesses. The tofu pudding is almost ready, and I guarantee it's absolutely authentic."

After saying that, he quickened his pace.

Seeing his reaction, Xu Ruizhi immediately knew that this shopkeeper must know something and continued to press:

"Uncle, can you tell me what exactly happened? I want to know about that unfinished building."

The man glanced at Xu Ruizhi, seeming somewhat hesitant, and then asked, "Young man, why are you so concerned about that unfinished building?"

Hearing this, Xu Ruizhi's heart stirred. He then deliberately cast a deep, thoughtful look toward the building and asked, "You must know a bit about the person living in that unfinished building, right?"

The man was taken aback, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "You mean... that girl with intellectual disabilities?"

Xu Ruizhi's heart leaped with joy upon hearing this. He pretended to sigh and said, "Yes, she's my cousin."

"Ah?!" The man was startled, looking at Xu Ruizhi with disbelief. "You're really her cousin?!"

"Of course it's true." Xu Ruizhi nodded, then glanced at the man with a flicker in his eyes and continued, "My dad told me that back in the day, he was an outstanding student and got the chance to study abroad, but my grandparents disagreed. My dad begged them for a long time, but they refused to let him go. In the end, out of desperation, his sister—my aunt—stole their household registration booklet and money to send him away."

"Ah!" The man let out a long sigh after hearing this, somewhat moved. "The older generation can be so stubborn."

Upon hearing this, Xu Ruizhi silently prayed: Xiaomeng's grandparents and parents, I hope you won't blame me. I only fabricated this lie to uncover the truth about Xiaomeng's origins.

"We just returned from America yesterday. My dad said that everything from the past is over now, and he's old. All he wants is to see how his sister and parents are doing. He also said that without my aunt, he wouldn't be where he is today, and he asked us to take good care of her family. Unfortunately, my aunt passed away. My dad was devastated and is still bedridden, unconscious."

Xu Ruizhi wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and continued, "All these years, my dad worked hard in America, not even daring to marry or have children. Relying solely on his own two hands, he built his own career and has managed to save up a bit. My mom is taking care of him now and can't leave, so she sent me out to find out where my aunt's daughter is. I've been searching all the way here."

"So that's how it is. No wonder you dress like a city kid." The man suddenly understood, looking at Xu Ruizhi with admiration and praise. He then added, "And your Chinese is so good. It seems your dad raised you well."

"Ah!" Xu Ruizhi sighed softly. "My dad said that one must never forget their roots. Since I was little, he taught me Chinese and insisted we speak it at home."

Hearing this, the man couldn't help but give a thumbs-up and praised, "Your dad is truly a good father. But I don't understand—why didn't he come back to visit all these years? Not even a letter?"

"This..." Xu Ruizhi panicked upon hearing this, his mind racing as he blurted out:

"My dad actually wanted to come back too. He said the hardest time was right after he arrived in Meiguo. He had to work until late every night just to get by. Plus, communication wasn't very developed back then, and he was broke as could be—there was just no way to get in touch with home. It wasn't until later, when he'd slowly saved up a little money, that he finally managed to contact the family back in China. So my dad tried writing letters home to let them know he was safe, but he was told the family's house had been demolished in a redevelopment project, and he couldn't reach them. At the time, my dad tried everything he could think of, but nothing worked. He wanted to return to China, but because of work, he simply couldn't find the time. Later, my dad met my mom—she's also Chinese. They took a liking to each other, and gradually, things progressed to the point of discussing marriage. By then, they were both in their thirties, almost forty. My dad felt they weren't getting any younger, and dragging it out further wasn't right, so he decided to come back to see my grandparents and talk about getting married."

"But who would've thought that just a few days after the company he'd just started got off the ground, something happened." Xu Ruizhi sighed and said, "There was no choice. In those years, the company couldn't do without my dad. They could only wait for the business to slowly recover. Who knew that waiting would drag on until now…"

After saying this, Xu Ruizhi paused and took a deep breath. Damn, if I were a screenwriter or an actor, I'd probably be famous by now. This spiel is absolutely masterful—smooth, effortless, and delivered without a single pause.

What is improv? This is it!!!

Every word, every sentence has to be meticulously crafted. One slip and the whole thing falls apart.

After hearing Xu Ruizhi's story, the man was clearly stunned, even forgetting to pack up the tofu pudding for her.
