The Fall of A Great Empire – Amesco Anarai
Nine months ago.
The golden curtains against the magnificent walls.
Marble tiles brushing against the feet.
The golden circle above the seat of the Igneous.
This was the Grand Synagogue of Westeria.
She stood before them.
"Lady Eloise Thorne, sole heir to the house of Thorne." After moments of silence, one of the princes spoke.
"Your previous fiefdom in the inner belt was Estandol when it remained an existing place." He continued. "Until a few years ago in the siege of the unknown tyrant, where 5 fiefdoms in central were lost."
"What does that have to do with why you have called me here?" She frowned.
"On deeper investigation, it was found that wasn't the first fiefdom of House Thorne. House Thorne has had fiefdoms in several nations all over the continent, is that correct?"
"Yes, in a total of 1200 years of our existence we have ruled domains in different countries." She nodded.
"However, that is totally unrelated to why we the Imperial Vermillion have summoned you." The prince continued with a slight smile. "Though it truly is weird how all your fiefdoms were destroyed by unknown entities and organisations."
"My father, the Igneous of our time would like to know the source of your power, because it is truly suspicious as to how the source of the accursed flood is your previous domain."
"How and where I get my power is my own business."
"That is no longer the case. You might as well be part of the anomaly's rising." The prince rebuked calmly, that sinister smile plastered across his face.
"That is bullshit, we all know Adrian of House Wilbert was the sole cause of the anulian floods."
"Watch your language." Another prince said.
"Nevermind that," The crown prince said. "Are you trying to blame a dead man?"
"I see no need speaking to you." Eloise turned her gaze to the Igneous, the crown prince left with a twitching eye and what could barely be called a smile.
"I'm Eloise Thorne, I have no allegiance with the current state of Westeria. I have no reason to respect you, your son and the so called imperials who are unable to protect and fight for their people."
"You do know that with this statement, you have cursed your family to a commoner class, and no right to remain in the empire." The Igneous finally spoke.
She turned her back –
On The Igneous
On The Vermillion family
On The nation that would soon become Imperial Westeria.
The Thornes and Vaciems gathered what was left of the middle belt and the outer belt, those who were sick of the incompetence of a failing administration, and the formed –
Neo Westeria,
Engulfing the borders of something that was one great,
A beauty born from chaos.
"Huh?" She was knocked out of her trance, looking to the south.
_ _ _
Soloe, Voldmore – Nyoria
Just past the town walls, on a grassland.
A golden door appeared.
_Whoosh_
A gush of mana blew out.
_Thud_
Adrian and Lira stepped out.
"Where are we?" She looked to him, confused. The air was different from that of the coast, and this obviously wasn't Haven anymore.
"I just wanted you to understand something about this world." Adrian said, not bothering to look down.
_Inside the Town_
The butcher's daughter, a young girl, Jada, stepped out of the ranch.
She had a smile on her face as she ran to complete her errand.
She walked into a shop, purchased what she had to and stepped out.
_Crackle_
Lightning tore through the sky.
She looked up, her smile disappearing as she noticed the abnormality of the approaching clouds.
_Roar_
Something bellowed from within, just as it settled above the town.
_Boom_
Waves of aerial type corrupted creatures dashed down.
In a blink of an eye, the ordinary town became hell.
Lira stepped forward, a feeble attempt to offer aid, but chains held her.
"I want you to understand that it was only by chance that you met me that day, without actual tangible strength, this is what is going to happen." He said, watching as the beasts tore through the townsfolk.
"I still don't know how you are related to me, but till then, you have to live you to that relation."
She stared at him, crying.
_
Jada trembled with fright as the corrupted creature gazed down upon her.
She closed her eyes, waiting for the sweet welcome of death –
Yet… it never came.
She opened her eyes.
A green lance through the creatures head as it tumbled and fell to the side.
Adrian stared to the sky, a slight frown growing on his face.
She was there –
Green wings outstretched.
Green eyes glowing
Like a goddess.
Eloise.
_Swoosh_
From the tip of each feather, a beam of energy shot down.
Silence.
That was all there was.
No struggle.
No bellowing.
Just silence.
_Roar_
The cloud shrunk until only an angry bat-type corrupted beast remained.
It looked at Eloise.
_kang_
A green lance appeared in her hands, then she raised it, pointing at the beast.
_Boom_
In the split of a second, she was before the beast, her lance meeting it's skin and ripping it into two equal halves.
_Mass Heal_
She raised her hands above the town, then cast an AOE healing spell.
