My gaze followed the chopper as it descended closer to the ground. The wind cast by its blades pushed guts and viscera around as they smeared the ground in a disgusting mess. Even after all this time, the sight of bodies was still disgusting. All my deaths, all the mangled people I'd seen over the years, none of it had managed to completely remove the natural disgust that dead bodies filled my body with.
After a few moments, a team of half a dozen MTF soldiers arrived on the ground and circled around me. I remember how, despite all the guns pointed at me, I found not a hint of fear in my heart at the prospect of dying again. I guess such fear leaves you rather quickly when you can come back from it. I raised my hands unhurriedly as one of the soldiers around me barked orders. It wasn't long until I was handcuffed and had a bag over my head. Being dragged into the helicopter wasn't as bad as I imagined.

"Begin Audio Log, Incident Interview 8921. It is currently 14:22 PDT on --/--/20--. Interviewer: Agent Charles of Mobile Task Force Epsilon 13 "Manifest Destiny". Interviewee: Dr. *(>@1P @n)92& , a wilderness physician graduated from the University of Utah with a contract job with Yosemite National Park, California, USA. Interviewee was brought in after being recovered from a suspected ontokenetic event. Now then, Doctor, tell me, what exactly happened?"
"Well...how do I even start. My team and I were called in for a typical animal attack. A family was attacked by dears and so we had to go and help with any injuries and such. The usual stuff. But...when we got there..."
"What happened once you arrived at the scene, Doctor? Please be as detailed as you can."
"It... It was as if the world had completely flipped. One second, I was on my feet, the next I was upside down, and the ground was above me. I would have fallen into the sky if it wasn't for the trees bending into a floor..."
"And your team? What happened to the rest of your team?"
"I... I don't know...They were right beside me, but when the world flipped, they suddenly disappeared!"
"Please lower your voice, Doctor."
"Right...sorry. Anyways, after that...I wandered around for a bit, and the ground beneath me, the trees, slowly turned into... meat... dear, I think it was..."
"And this... dear meat, was it alive?"
"N-No. Thankfully, it was just meat. I-... I walked on the meat for a while before eventually coming across the boy..."
"A yes, there was the body of a boy recovered at the scene as well. What happened there, Doctor?"
"I... I don't know how, but I could tell that the boy was the cause of the world flipping. There were dear heads floating through the air as I approached him. They were moving like bad jpegs. When I got to the boy I... I killed him..."
"I see. There is no reason for you to feel bad, Doctor. In your position, I would have done the same. In fact, Command agrees with me that what you did was quite commendable. As such, I would like to properly introduce you to my organization, Doctor. Tell me, have you ever heard of the SCP Foundation?"
"SCP?"
"We are a group that specializes in the containment and study of anomalous events, individuals, places, etc. That boy you killed is one type of the many anomalies we have seen and documented. Considering your skill in your craft as well as the effectiveness with which you managed to get through that event, the Foundation would like to extend a hand to you."
"I see... and what exactly does working for this... Foundation entail?"
"Hm, considering your area of expertise, Doctor, there are multiple jobs you could obtain. So, we give you the special privilege to choose. You could join a Mobile Task Force, or MTF for short, like my group as a medic. Or you could serve as a doctor and scientist at one of our many sites."
"And... if I refuse this offer...?"
"Well..."
The Agent chuckled softly.
"You would naturally be returned to society with certain things removed to ensure our secrecy."
If it hadn't been for my obtained knowledge, I would have never known that he was talking about my memories.
"I see... so there really is no choice..."
"Of course, there is a choice, Doctor! There is always a choice."
"Very well... I'll join your organization as a..."
Of course I joined. After all, how could I have refused? The Foundation definitely gave crazy benefits to its employees! Why else would people work there?
