Chapter 63 - Bizarre Happenings.

The group woke up the next morning as they were alerted by one of the robots

about the fact that Nova was going to unfreeze the frozen person he had found in the

basement of his house several days ago. He apparently wanted everyone down there just

in case the individual was hostile.Zaiyal jolted awake at the robotic voice echoing

through the mansion. The words hung in the air like a storm cloud, heavy with

implications. "Everyone needs to come to the basement," it announced, its mechanical

tone void of emotion. "Nova is about to unfreeze the subject." "Great," Talus muttered,

rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Just what we need—a potential threat right before we

head to the Hero Association." Ungar's eyes narrowed. "What if this person knows

something about Nova's plans? Or worse, what if they're a danger like Talus said?"

Zaiyal shared a wary glance with his friends. He felt a knot tighten in his stomach. "Or

they could be a powerful enemy. We should be cautious. A powerful rival, if there's one

thing I've learned from Daniel it was foes could become friends we saw that with Sarai,

and Tatu and Talus here even. But even still, if the person is hostile we need to be on

guard." They hurried down the sleek hallways of the mansion, following the robot's

mechanical wheels to the basement door. The atmosphere grew tenser with each step. As

they reached the heavy door, Zaiyal's heart raced. He exchanged worried looks with

Talus and Ungar, while Kai stood a little too close to the door, his curiosity getting the

better of him.

Nova stood in front of the frozen figure, an imposing presence against the backdrop of

ice. He was a man, seemingly in his case a human being perhaps 5 feet 10 or 11 inches or

so average for a human, his face was not visible his entire body was surrounded by green

armor there was nothing else notable for description at this moment. "Thank you for coming," he said, glancing over his shoulder. "This may or may not be an important

moment for all of us." The room was dim, illuminated by flickering lights that barely

broke through the thick air.

Zaiyal squinted, trying to make out details of the figure

encased in ice. A silhouette of a person, loomed before them, shrouded in mystery. "Are

you sure this is a good idea?" Talus asked, his voice low. "What if they're hostile?" Nova

waved a hand dismissively. "I have my reasons for unfreezing them. Trust me; this

individual holds knowledge that could change everything, besides..." Ungar grunted with

confusion. "If he is hostile I have no doubt I can lick him easily, his power level

according to my devices is of no concern." As he spoke, Nova pressed a series of buttons

on a nearby console. Green lasers began to hit the block of ice, the ice began to crack,

shards falling away to reveal the figure within—a man with green armor lay on the floor

before them. Zaiyal felt a surge of anxiety. "What if this clown wakes up angry?" he

whispered to Ungar. But before Ungar could respond, the ice shattered completely, and

the figure fell forward, landing with a thud on the floor. He took a deep breath, and as he

looked around, his eyes through the vicar in his helmet narrowed, assessing each of them

with an intensity that sent a shiver down Zaiyal's spine. "Who are you people, why are

you surrounding me?" the man growled, his voice gravelly and filled with authority. The

atmosphere shifted, the air crackling with tension. Zaiyal's instincts kicked in, urging him

to be ready for anything. He glanced at his friends, their expressions mirroring his

apprehension. "Oh is it not clear, you were frozen in that block of ice I just melted your

welcome by the way. It's very remarkable that you are alive after that, it seems like

something that would happen in Science-Fiction," said Nova. The man began to laugh,

"that's because of my suit, it puts me in a state of self-induced hibernation when a

circumstance such as this occurs, that way I don't have to worry about food or water

either... Speaking of that, let me check my computer," said the man. "So you're not

distrustful of us?" said Zaiyal. "It was a moment ago, but then I remembered how I got

here... 700 years??!! I've been stuck here for 700 years??!!" said the man. Everyone with

the exception of Ungar, Talus and Nova were in shock. Nova smirked, "that's interesting,

so you've been here for a quite a while, may I ask what your name is, and how you got

here," said Nova. The man cracked his neck then he pressed a button on the side of his

helmet that exposed him to be a Caucasian man with a dark black beard. He continued to

crack his fingers and then said, "I'll tell you everything as soon as I grab a turkey

sandwi... UNGAR???!!!" as the man said this he pointed forward and sweat dripped

down his forehead. Ungar looked confused, "do I know you?"

The man began to laugh,

"I'm the Green Wisp. We've met each other only a handful or so times so I guess it's fair

you don't remember me," said the man. Ungar thought for a moment, "oh yeah you were

that goofy superhero that used to live on Earth, but wait this is an entirely different dimension?! How'd you get here," said Ungar. The man cracked his hips, "Like I said,

toss me a turkey sandwich and I'll loosen my lips real quick," said the man.

They all entered the kitchen and Nova passed him a Turkey sandwich, the man said

thanks and uttered the words, "Bismallah," after which he began to eat. This intrigued

Nova, "so you're a Muslim?" The man simply said, "well I'm a convert or a revert. I

guess I converted to Islam over 700 years ago, from what I just found out, but yeah I'm

Muslim," said the Green Wisp. Ungar pounded his fist on the table, "tell us! How did you

get to this world?!" The man swallowed a big chunk of turkey sandwich and then said,

"I'll have to start at the beginning because you're the only one who knows who I am

Ungar, so just block this first part out. My name is The Green Wisp. I'm a SuperHero that

operates on Earth apparently in a dimension and version of Earth called Dimension

85B-A according to some extra-terrestrials I met over seven centuries ago. At one point

my arch nemesis was an evil scientist, kind of cliche I know, named Dr. Animato, was

kind of a shut-in for the record, and then I kind of freelanced for a while after he

completed his arc. I went on a lot of adventures and traveled to a lot of different worlds

and planets, etc., etc., etc., you could honestly fill up a 200 volume comic series with

everything I've been through and seen at the very least. But I'll get to the pertinent point,

I was fighting a villain named Queen Freeze. She ran through a portal to evade me that I

can only assume she created and I ended up in this room, the house at the time was

abandoned from what I could tell. But it was a trap. She used an ice machine to freeze me

in this room, and from what I could tell she assumed I was dead so I was trapped here for

700 years until today. I have to thank you,..." "Nova," said the host. "Thank you Nova, so

what's the deal? Do you want me to help you guys with anything? I'm kind of obligated

to serve you if you need anything, honestly if you don't need anything I'm just gonna

split," said the Green Wisp. Ungar was satisfied, "Well that explains why you're here,

from what I remembered about you, you were kind of an immature clown, please tell me

that's changed." The Green Wisp laughed, "not in the slightest." Nova began to tell the

man who he was, who everyone else was and the fact that they were all going to sign up

for the hero association. The Green Wisp naturally agreed to sign up as well, Nova also

explained that something big was about to happen, a sort of ominous omen it seemed.

The Green Wisp raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"Ominous signs? Sounds like you're on the brink of something big. Care to elaborate?"

Nova paused, his expression shifting to one of seriousness. "There have been

disturbances—anomalies in the fabric of this dimension. Just 2 weeks ago a giant squid

the size of two mountains fell from the sky on City F. It's been happening every day ever

since. A giant squid falls into the city and it gives birth to squid larva that soon after die.

In the nation of Prestoria which is a landlocked nation controlled by a crime syndicate, there are tidal waves that have destroyed the city and in district FB people have been

randomly shriveling up and dying for no reason. I fear something or someone is trying to

disrupt the balance. The Hero Association could be key in addressing it, and your

experience would be invaluable. As for my part, can you imagine my legacy, how I

would go down in the history books if I saved the world from this calamitous event," said

Nova. "So that's your angle, fine well I guess we're all on the same team for now," said

Zaiyal. "I'll show you the video footage from the news before we head out, it is quite

disturbing to watch for those of the faint of heart," said Nova. Talus began to laugh, "well

you don't know me very well, I killed this kid's parents, I think I'll be fine." Tashkent

gave Talus a dirty look. The Green Wisp stood, a determined glint in his eye. "Well then,

if we're in for a fight, I'm all in. Just remember, I might be a clown, but I know how to

throw down when it counts." Ungar put his metal hand on his face in embarrassment. As

the group exchanged looks, a sense of camaraderie began to form. Zaiyal felt the weight

of uncertainty lift slightly. Maybe this unexpected ally could help them navigate the

challenges ahead. "Alright then," Talus said, clapping his hands together. "Let's make a

plan. First, we need to learn as much as we can about the Hero Association, then we'll

prepare for whatever's coming." "Sounds good," the Green Wisp said, polishing off his

sandwich. "But first, I need a proper tour of this place. I've been stuck in that ice for

centuries, and I'd like to see what this planet is like." With a renewed sense of purpose,

the group began to discuss their next steps, the earlier tension transforming into

excitement for the adventure ahead. Zaiyal felt a flicker of hope; together, they would

face whatever challenges this new world had in store for them.

Meanwhile Kai, a young high school student with green hair and pointy ears, was headed

down to the Hero Association himself ready to sign up and become an official legally

sanctioned hero. He had always dreamed of being a hero, inspired by stories of bravery

and adventure. The idea of becoming an official member of the Hero Association filled

him with determination. As he approached the grand entrance, the massive doors of the

association loomed overhead, adorned with emblems of legendary heroes. Taking a deep

breath, Kai stepped inside. The lobby was impressive, filled with holographic displays

showcasing past heroes and their legendary deeds. He approached the reception desk, his

heart racing. "I'm here to sign up!" he declared, trying to sound confident. The

receptionist, a sharp-eyed woman with a no-nonsense demeanor, looked up from her

screen. "Name?" "Kai," he replied, standing a bit taller. "Last name?" "Um, just Kai. You

know, like Cher or Madonna!" he joked, hoping to lighten the mood. She didn't smile but

simply typed into her terminal. "Very well, Kai. You'll need to complete the registration

process, including a series of assessments to determine your capabilities."

"Assessments?" Kai's excitement dimmed slightly. "What kind of assessments?"

"Physical tests, strategy evaluations, and a psychological profile," she explained, her tone

clipped. "You'll also need to provide a brief summary of your abilities and experience.

Additionally, the first thing you'll have to undergo is a group test. You'll have to fight in

combat with the other contestants in a single room, if you can outlast them if they so

choose to attack you for more than 10 minutes you may proceed forward," said the

woman. Kai nodded, feeling a mix of nerves and determination. "I'm ready for it! I've

been training and studying, and I'm—" Before he could finish, a loud crash echoed from

outside. The receptionist sighed and turned her attention to the commotion. "Another

anomaly," she muttered under her breath. "The city can't catch a break."

Kai's heart sank at the sound. He rushed to the window and looked out. People were

pointing at the sky, and it didn't take long for him to see what was causing the chaos—a

massive shadow loomed above, shifting and writhing. It looked like the remnants of a

colossal squid, still disintegrating as it fell, with smaller creatures scattering in its wake.

"Is this part of the assessment?" he asked, glancing back at the receptionist. She shook

her head. "No, this is a regular occurrence now. The first time it occurred in this city but

it's been occurring elsewhere, and we've had our own strange happenings before this. Just

another day in the city. Focus on your registration." But Kai felt the call of duty tugging

at him. He couldn't just stand by. "I can help!" he blurted, adrenaline kicking in. "I need

to be out there!"

The receptionist raised an eyebrow. "Don't worry no one has gotten hurt in any of these

incidents, you've signed up now, go into the training room, you have 10 minutes." Kai

nodded and headed into the room. Kai walked into the room and he saw quite the diverse

crew, a giant ogre with a pink bandana, a weird translucent man, and some familiar faces

we've seen before in these tales, i.e. Nova, Ungar, Zaiyal, Talus, Tashkent, Marteya

Buddha Narcis, the Green Wisp, Sir Rhyme, Guan Fu and Noah. Tashkent introduced

himself, "hi my name is Kai, let me introduce you to everyone." Kai with little beads of

sweat sliding down his face was flabber-gasted, "...ok." Tashkent showed him one by

one, "this is Sir Rhyme, he's a silly bear." Sir Rhyme said, "Nice to meet you friend,

you're quite young to join the Association." Kai nervously laughed, "well some of you

look a little old to join." Ungar laughed, "you have no idea, my name's Ungar I'm a

warlock and I'm with all of these folks you see right here." Ungar towered over Kai as he

was over 7 feet tall, then Zaiyal waved his hand, "hey, my name's Zaiyal, nice to meet

you kid." Everyone introduced themselves and everything seemed normal until beams of

energy began to reign down on everyone it was clear almost immediately that something

was attacking them. Zaiyal and Ungar formulated that everyone including Kai had to

come up with an on the fly-plan to defeat this foe, and they all began to strategize. Part of

the strategy involved Talus distracting the assailant. Talus burst into action, darting towards the area where the beams originated. With agile movements, he taunted the

unseen assailant, making exaggerated gestures and shouting playful insults. "Hey! Is that

all you've got? My grandmother throws better than that!"

As the beams shifted to focus

on Talus, Kai seized the opportunity. He crouched low and sprinted to the side, trying to

avoid the beams while keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of the enemy. With his heart

pounding in his chest, he felt a surge of adrenaline. In the midst of the chaos, Ungar

began to chant, summoning a protective barrier with glowing runes swirling around him.

"Sir Rhyme, now!" he commanded. Sir Rhyme concentrated, and a shimmering shield

formed around the group, absorbing a couple of incoming beams and dispersing their

energy harmlessly into the air. "Everyone stay close!" he urged. Kai spotted a flicker of

movement in the shadows—something was lurking just beyond the edges of their vision.

He could feel the tension in the air, the hairs on his arms standing on end. "I think I see

it!" he called out, trying to maintain his focus. "It's—" Before he could finish, a powerful

beam struck the floor near him, sending a shockwave through the room. He stumbled but

quickly regained his footing. "It's moving! We need to flush it out!" Zaiyal nodded, his

eyes narrowing. "We need to corner it! Kai, if you can get closer, we can hit it from all

sides." With the group coordinating, Talus continued to draw the enemy's attention,

dancing around the beams and throwing out jibes. "Hey, squid-face! You missed me!"

Kai felt a surge of confidence. He sprinted forward, heart pounding as he used the chaos

to his advantage. "Let's do this!" he shouted, leaping into the fray. As he drew closer, the

outline of a massive creature became visible—a monstrous, squid-like being, its eyes

glowing with malice. It twisted and turned, trying to evade the onslaught. "Now!" Zaiyal

yelled. "All together!" The heroes launched their combined attack. Talus charged in with

swift movements, Zaiyal wielded his abilities, and Ungar unleashed bursts of magical

energy. Sir Rhyme's barrier flickered but held strong, protecting them as they pressed the

attack. Kai found himself in the thick of it, adrenaline fueling his every move. "I'm

ready!" he shouted, rallying the group. With the heroes around him, he felt like he truly

belonged. This was his moment to shine, and he was determined not to back down.As the

battle raged on, they coordinated their attacks, dodging beams and unleashing their

powers in unison. It was a chaotic dance of energy, strategy, and teamwork, and Kai felt a

deep sense of purpose growing within him.

Finally Kai shot a blast of energy from his mouth that made some giant frog creature

appear out of nowhere falling to the ground with his eyes closed and his tongue sticking

out of his mouth. The buzzer of the timer chirped the 10 minute time limit was up,

everyone left the room and Kai had made ten new allies and possibly new friends. One of

the new friends Kai they met in the training room at the Hero Association was Highly

Respected figure and 187 IQ phenomena Scott Greer of Greer family fame. Who has a political show that discusses the absurdity of the modern MAGA movement despite being a supporter of the pre 1000 year old presidential candidate Donald Trump he did believes

to be a great historical figure, he hates the false idea of a 'good man shortage,' ideas of

egalitarianism in references to the different races, and the fact that the world 1000 years

later and on another planet and in another dimension is still going full Bud Light.
