Chapter 14 - EPILOGUE

Sevi's POV

After graduation, it felt like everything happened so fast.

The days when we used to walk to class together, the noise of our classmates, and the simple laughter in the hallways suddenly, all became memories.

Vacation had started.

We each had our own plans in life.

As the vacation days went by, my chats became quieter. It wasn't like before when I had someone to talk to almost every day.

Sometimes, I thought about Aurelia.

I didn't know why, but there were moments when she suddenly came to mind—especially when I passed by places we had talked about before.

One day, while scrolling on my phone, I saw a place I had wanted to visit for a long time.

The place I had told Aurelia about:

"One day, we'll meet here."

I didn't know if she still remembered.

But to me, our conversation was still clear in my mind.

So one day during the vacation, I decided to go there.

The place was quiet. The air was fresh, and the view was beautiful.

As I stood there, I thought

What is Aurelia doing now?

Does she still remember what I said back then?

I smiled a little.

I took a picture of the place and posted it. Nothing special—just wanted to share the view.

After that, the vacation days went by.

Gradually, my life became busy—with meeting new people, and other things I needed to focus on.

Over time, I grew closer to Selene. She was my crush back then. Until one day, we became a couple.

I thought I had finally left the past behind.

But I was wrong. Some memories never really fade, no matter how many years pass.

---

After 8 years…

One day, I went back to that place. I was with Selene. I hadn't been there in a long time, so I thought it would be nice to bring her.

The surroundings were still quiet. Windy, and the view was still as beautiful as before.

While talking to Selene and looking at the view, I suddenly noticed someone in the distance.

A girl was standing near the railing. She was looking at us.

At first, I didn't immediately recognize her. But something about the way she stood felt familiar. I slowly looked at her face.

Then I knew. My eyes widened. It was Aurelia.

She was looking at us. At me.

But when she noticed the girl with me–Selene, her expression changed. Something inside her seemed to break.

Her smile slowly disappeared. And in her eyes, I could clearly see the pain.

I didn't know why, but it felt like my chest tightened seeing her like that.

We stared at each other for a moment.

Aurelia, who had been walking toward us to take a picture, suddenly stopped and turned away. She quickly wiped her eyes.

She was crying.

"Aurelia?"

I didn't realize I had whispered her name softly. But she didn't hear it.

She just kept walking away. And as I watched her leave, a feeling came back to my heart—a memory… and a feeling I thought I had left behind long ago.
