Chapter 13 - The Peach Tree Seed

(They enter the hall through a corridor of yellow stones. In front of them is a petrified man holding a pen in his hand)

Omar: Is this the gatekeeper?

(He begins to peel, and the pen drops from him. His yellow eye starts to open)

Rayn: We came to get the Potion of Return.

Zahar: I am Zahar. Whoever comes seeking the seed, it is under my protection. And whoever comes for death, it is an honor for me that it is by my hand. And whoever comes for war, it is an honor for you to fight me.

Omar: We want the flower, we want to bring back the dead.

Zahar: Let me introduce myself again. I am the guardian of the heart and soul, I am the master of the mind, I am the heart of the flower, I am Zahar. What you seek, you shall obtain, but at the cost of a drop of my precious blood.

Hova: Allow us to obtain it without a fight, there is no need for that.

Zahar: Such a thing would have been permitted if you were not under magical curses and your afflictions: you are immortality, and you are love, and the last is greed. All of you are afflicted, enchanted, commanded, without free will, and you do not possess a tender heart.

Rayn: I appreciate that you are a guardian and like to rhyme. Therefore, I will say it like you: you are a guardian, but you are still on the ground, so death knocks on the heart.

Zahar: ....

Omar: You are stronger than all of us, but all we want is the flower.

Zahar: I am the one who accepts and rejects, and your request will be rejected. If you wish to pass, you must make me shed at least one drop of blood. Therefore, from what I see, I will fight you using only 5% of my power so we can be equal.

Omar: If you know the affliction of each of us, then you know the future as well.

Zahar: I do not know the future, but I know your past. And your father was my toy for a while, but that doesn't mean I will let you take it.

Rayn: So, I have no problem starting the fight now if you like.

wessam: Then, let's go.

Hova: Get ready.

Omar: Certainly, let's fight then.

....

Sword of Eternity: The Long Covenant's Journey

The Guardian: Zahar

Hair: White

Age: ???

Eyes: White glowing with yellow

Height: ???

....

Zahar: Unfortunately, I cannot kill you without an order. For this reason, you will be tortured forever.

(The fight begins. Rayn charges using his sword and his special abilities, plunging his sword into Zahar's head, but Zahar turns into a ghost. Zahar uses the pen to throw him backward so he crashes into the wall. wessam enters his body and tries to control him)

Zahar: Do you really think this will work?

(Zahar grabs him and throws him on top of Rayn)

(Omar begins to charge towards him. Hova uses the bow, shoots an arrow, but it doesn't affect him and the arrow bounces off to hit the wall. She charges and follows up with Omar, plunging her sword into him. He strikes with his pen, and the pen clashes with the sword. Omar follows up from the other side. When he sees Zahar's steps, he aims the sword at his eye)

Zahar: Kneel now!

(Omar manages to stand firm, along with Hova. Omar tries to plunge the sword into his eye. Rayn begins to move, using a spell to stop Zahar's power over him. He charges towards Zahar and stabs him, but he turns into a ghost again)

Rayn: Not this time.

(Rayn speaks a spell to force Zahar out of his ghost form while the sword is still inside him)

Zahar: But that doesn't mean I've lost.

(Zahar makes the sword shatter into fragments that scatter across the area)

(Omar follows up, pulls out his pistol, and fires multiple fragmentation bullets, but Zahar absorbs them)

(Hova follows up by pointing her sword at him, creating an explosive energy orb from within, but he bypasses the shot, and it doesn't affect him)

Zahar: Have you really used forbidden powers just to try and kill me?

Hova: No, but to make sure you don't notice that Omar drew blood from his hand to be here.

Omar: You can't protect yourself when I use a sword like this.

(Omar stops his sword mere fractions away from Zahar, but he freezes. Omar's hands begin to tremble)

Omar: You can switch places too.

Rayn: What do you mean?

Hova: He switched places and made me switch with him so Omar would plunge the sword into me.

Zahar: Did you really think I was foolish enough to let you touch my sword?

(Rayn charges at him with his sword, but Zahar dodges all his strikes using the pen. Omar charges, and Hova assists him, following up)

Zahar: I've had enough. (He turns into a ghost again)

(wessam starts moving again and gets to his feet)

wessam: Omar, he can't hurt you, have you forgotten?

Omar: What do you mean?

wessam: Haven't you realized? He's a...

(Zahar teleports to wessam and uses his hand to slam him against the wall again)

Hova: I understand now.

Rayn: It was obvious from the beginning, but we didn't understand. Sit down, Omar, let us explain.

Omar: But he'll kill us!

(Rayn and Hova sit down)

Rayn: Haven't you understood? This was the point from the start.

Hova: We can't kill him. Even at 5%, he's a protector, not a fighter with power that prevents death or even stops anyone from approaching him.

Zahar: Silence!

Hova: A drop of blood isn't his blood; it's our blood here.

Omar: Do you mean?

Rayn: Yes, he can't kill us. And if he draws a drop of blood from us, his assigned mission will fail. It was a riddle from the beginning, wasn't it, wessam?

wessam: Exactly. (He stands up)

(Zahar looks at him and kicks him against the wall again)

Omar: But he's kicking wessam!

Rayn: And how is he going to kill him?

Hova: wessam is a ghost, he doesn't die like that, he doesn't bleed. And because he's a ghost, Zahar can play with him.

Omar: He uses the pen to block the damage, even though he's not affected at all.

(Omar starts to laugh)

Omar: That was a really brilliant riddle, Zahar.

Zahar: Do you know how long it took your father to figure out the solution to this riddle? Two years. I told him this five thousand times; how could he understand or leave? He left and returned more than five times, trained and returned. Why did he think we were in a game, training and coming back like that, to defeat someone like me?

Omar: So, what do we do now?

Hova: Simply, Zahar.

(She grips her sword and tries to strike him. He blocks with the pen. She drops her sword, thrusts his pen into her hand, and begins to bleed)

Zahar: Well done, you have won fairly.

Hova: Of course.

Omar: Smart as usual, Hova.

(Zahar begins to step backward to the same spot they saw him initially, and starts turning into stone)

(A seed emerges from his heart, and he places it in his hand)

(Hova approaches him, and in a low voice that Omar can hear)

Hova: May I ask a question?

Zahar: Go ahead.

Hova: What did you mean when you said my affliction is love?

Zahar: In the childhood of every person on your continent, they are sealed with a spell cast upon them at the beginning of their lives, which makes them fall in love.

Hova: Thank you for telling me.

Zahar: Farewell...

(His body disappears and turns into stone)

(Omar takes the seed from his hands)

Omar: So, this is it.

Rayn: Congratulations.

Hova: So, what are you going to do?

Omar: We will bring Hanami back.

Hova: Do you know how to use the seed?

Omar: No, do you?

Rayn: Well, boy, my mission here is done. Goodbye.

Omar: I want to tell you something before you leave. I might not be able to see the end of the world, but it will truly be beautiful. So, if you see it, tell me about it. And look into the matter of religions, because I look forward to seeing you in Paradise.

Rayn: Of course, why not? And don't worry, I will watch the end of the world and tell you about it. Goodbye, Omar.

wessam: Goodbye, Rayn.

(Omar hits wessam)

wessam: I'm a ghost, have you forgotten?

(Rayn drinks the potion and hits wessam, opens the portal and leaves)

wessam: Damn it! I'm tired of getting hit so much.

(wessam falls to the ground)

Hova: So, shall we leave? I only have three transport papers left.

Omar: Let's go back home. Come on, wessam.

(Hova opens the portal, and they return home)

Omar: So, where are we going to bring her back?

Hova: Come with me.

(Hova takes him to the garden)

Hova: Buy this garden.

Omar: Alright.

(He calls Kai)

Omar: Hello Kai, it's Omar.

Kai: Yes, Mr. Omar.

Omar: I want to buy the garden across from my house.

Kai: It's yours now. The money will be deducted from your account.

Omar: Alright, goodbye.

Hova: We melt the stone in a mold with the seed, and then we plant it in the ground, and that's it. Supposedly, according to the books I read, it will take time for the flower to grow and turn into a tree.

Omar: Thank you. Without you, I wouldn't have known this.

Hova: I appreciate that, but it's time for me to go. Goodbye then, Omar.

(Hova opens the portal)

Omar: Why are you leaving?

Hova: I must go. I have done what I had to do for a friend who helped me just as I helped him.

(Hova leaves)

(Days and nights begin to pass. The seed turns into a flower, and the flower turns into a tree. He sleeps and wakes up next to it, in summer, autumn, spring, and winter, in front of the tree until it takes the shape of a girl, until 25 years pass like this, until...)

(The bark begins to peel away from the girl's shape, until it becomes Hanami)

(Omar wakes up from his sleep)

Omar: Finally, Hanami.

Hanami: Sato.

Omar: Hanami.

(Hanami starts looking around)

Hanami: How? What? What happened for me to get here?

Omar: A lot has happened, a lot, Hanami.

Hanami: Why do you keep saying my name so much?

Omar: Because I thought it was impossible for me to ever say it again.

Hanami: Why?

Omar: Come with me.

(He takes her to his apartment)

Omar: This is my apartment. What do you think of it?

Hanami: What is this? All these things? How? You didn't tell me! Wait, the hanging sword, why does it look so extraordinary?

Omar: This is my personal sword. It's a sword made from the white stone.

Hanami: The legend of the white stone!

Omar: Here, take this knife and stab me.

Hanami: Wait, what? Are you kidding me? You want me to stab you?

Omar: I am immortal.

Hanami: You're immortal? Really? How?

Omar: That's where the problem lies. When we were with the daughter of the Emperor of Vietnam...

Hanami: Do you mean Thia?

Omar: I forgot her name, but yes, Thia. She gave me the Potion of Immortality to give to you that day, but in my stupidity, I drank it out of anger when I saw you dying in front of me. Stupidity, I was childish back then.

Hanami: And who told you I was going to drink it?

Omar: The problem is the potion had a spell on it for you, which was for you to live.

Hanami: So, you were looking for the Potion of Return to bring me back to stop your immortality.

(He tells her the whole story)

Hanami: This is very bad, Sato.

Omar: Over a lifetime.

Hanami: You're broken inside to this extent. At least, you see the Door now, right? You can exit at any time.

Omar: Yes, of course. That's why I want to make you a Muslim and make you my wife like in the past, and we can be a family to live the journey we wished for.

Hanami: Of course, that would be wonderful, and I agree. But you have become a different person. A lot of time has passed for you. You've become constantly anxious. Do you really mean what you say?

Omar: If this is the path that leads to the timeline that will compensate everyone—from my children, to the exhaustion of my friends, to you being in Paradise—then yes, absolutely.

Hanami: I think you forgot a part of the story. What did you do when you came back from your death? Did you go to Yemen directly? How, even though there was no information about any potion?

Omar: Actually, I got married.

Hanami: What are you saying?

Omar: I had children with Ana, the Russian.

Hanami: You even remember her nationality!

Omar: Because I didn't understand anything. I thought at first that if I loved a girl other than you, the immortality might stop, before I knew it was a curse.

Hanami: It doesn't matter. So, where are your friends?

Omar: Rayn went to continue his adventures. But Hova left when she planted the seed of return. As for wessam... wessam...

wessam: Yes, what do you want?

Omar: This is Hanami, the one we were looking for the seed to bring back.

wessam: Hello Hanami, I've been looking forward to meeting you for a while.

Hanami: So, you're wessam.

wessam: Yes. Do you have a problem with my charm?

Hanami: You seem suspiciously foolish.

wessam: Isn't that...

Omar: wessam, no.

wessam: Alright. Anyway, it's an honor to talk to you.

Omar: Hanami, can I have one last request? And then let's do whatever you want. First, say the Shahada.

(After she says it)

Omar: Finally, everything I've been waiting for, for so long. So, do you want to tour the town and see what's in it?

Hanami: Of course, but I want us to fight one last time. What do you think?

Omar: Absolutely, if that's what you want.

Hanami: Without using any abilities, please.

Omar: Don't worry, I won't kill you.

Hanami: But I will kill you.

Omar: That's funny. I hope you do.

(They start preparing in the garden)

Hanami: One... two... three.

(Hanami charges at Omar, begins to attack, and their swords clash. Omar takes a couple of steps back, then brings the sword very close to her, trips her, and knocks her to the ground)

Omar: That was fun.

Hanami: I want to try holding your sword.

Omar: Sure, here you go.

(The sword drops, and she can't lift it)

Hanami: How is it this heavy? And why does it have two knives or pieces of iron near the grip?

Omar: My personal sword is designed with sharp edges between the grip and the blade itself. I use them to make myself bleed so the sword can absorb the energy from my own blood.

Hanami: That's incredibly painful! How can you endure it?

Omar: You could say I got used to it. When I was with Hova, she did the fast fighting, while I was the slow one. But I had the physical strength, and she had the magic and knowledge, I suppose.

Hanami: I want to meet her. She sounds amazing from how you talk about her.

Omar: She bought the apartment next to mine when we were getting ready to leave.

Hanami: Can I go see her?

Omar: No, because I don't know if she's busy or not, and she isn't answering my calls right now.

Hanami: So, what do we do now?

Omar: Have you tried the food here?

(They go to eat)

Hanami: The food is absolutely amazing! I never imagined I would eat food this delicious.

Omar: I'm happy for you.

Hanami: Tell me what happened to you on your first day here.

Omar: My first day in America, I was starving. I met a girl named Sophia, as I told you. It was around one o'clock, I think, at night. I had her come over to cook.

Hanami: Whaaaat!

(She kicks Omar under the table)

Omar: Don't worry, it's been 75 years since her death. I met her daughter and attended her wedding with Hova.

Hanami: Did something happen between you and Hova too?

Omar: Hmmm... I don't remember, but I don't think so. She understands my ways. For example, when she lived in my house for a few days, I gave her the room key. That was a thing between us; after a lot of talking, it would end with saying, "Don't forget the room key."

Hanami: You lived with her for a while!

Omar: You should worry if I had my feelings of love, but they disappeared a long time ago. My heart is no longer captivated, nor does it hate.

Hanami: Does this mean you don't love me either?

Omar: No, of course not. Love is always in the heart. But what about you? How was your death?

Hanami: I remember being suspended between life and death. I was in a room, eating and sleeping, suspended until the end of the world because time knew you would bring me back, so there was nowhere for me to go but to wait. Or maybe it was just a place where I was waiting for the end of the world.

Omar: That sounds awful.

Hanami: True. What happened to Japan?

Omar: Well...

(He tells her what happened)

Hanami: ...

Omar: Aren't you surprised?

Hanami: No, because Japan was always a bad country, but it was my home. That's why I protected it, even if it was the one in the wrong in the story.

Omar: I understand, but I don't think that if I had the choice, I would ultimately help if it were the bad side.

Hanami: How come you look like an adult now?

Omar: I drank a potion that makes my appearance older.

(They leave the restaurant, and days of talking and conversing pass, until...)

Omar: I want us to get married. Do you agree?

Hanami: Of course, why not? You did the impossible for me.

(Omar and Hanami get married, and time continues to pass)

Hanami: Do you really see a Door?

Omar: Actually, no. I think I need to drink the blood of someone I love.

Hanami: Why did you lie to me? That makes me sad.

Omar: Do you want the truth? Because I didn't want to stop my immortality. That's why I refused to tell you the truth.

(She gets closer to him)

Hanami: If you want to be immortal, I am ready to be yours for my entire life.

Omar: We will meet someday. After my death, we will be a big family.

(A week after their marriage)

Hanami: I want you to know that if you want children from the future, they are currently in my womb.

(She starts laughing)

Omar: So, are you really pregnant?

Hanami: Yes, are you as surprised as I am?

Omar: This is absolutely wonderful! Let's celebrate. What do you want us to do for this occasion?

(Eight months later)

Omar: What do you want to name him?

Hanami: Kamado, that's my father's name. I want to name him after him.

(Omar stands on the balcony after Hanami goes to sleep)

Omar: So, time didn't make a mistake in the end.

wessam: You can hear me, right?

Omar: True.

wessam: You knew from the beginning, didn't you?

Omar: Yes, but I don't know what to do now.

(After time passes)

Hanami: Do you really not want to take the drop of blood? Do you really want to see your children and me die without you?

(Omar remains silent. Years pass, and Omar registers the name of the biggest gaming company under his four children, each with their own share)

Hanami: Are you sure? The children will die and you will still be alive.

Omar: No, you won't need it.

(After 32 years, Omar sits next to Hanami on the bench in the same garden she emerged from)

Hanami: So, Sato, you with the long life, how old are you now?

Omar: I don't really know, but if I was born in 1660, I must be 500 or 550 years old now. I don't remember.

Hanami: You haven't lived 1000 years yet.

Omar: I know, I'm still young, it seems.

(They both start laughing)

Hanami: Right, what happened to Abhara?

Omar: Well, you know he's a demon. He lived 300 years and died. I didn't meet other demons, or maybe I did. I don't really know if Wheeler was a demon or not.

Hanami: He really died?

Omar: Yes, I missed him and his wife.

Hanami: What are you going to do now?

Omar: I will be by your side until you die, because you are the one I loved.

Hanami: And if I die, where will you go?

Omar: I can't say.

Hanami: To Hova, right. You don't have to hide it, I know you. You are no longer the young man who always tells the truth, whose heart is happy by my side.

Omar: I was afraid you wouldn't be happy with what I said. But how did you know?

Hanami: When I see you thinking, I understand that you are thinking about people who aren't here with you.

Omar: So, what do you think?

Hanami: I think that from the beginning, I was just a first love for you and me. Your goal was to stop your immortality. And this is the truth, Sato. Isn't the reason that I would end up in Hell the real reason?

Omar: In the beginning, it wasn't like that. But yes, unfortunately, this is the truth now.

Hanami: When I die, I will be happy to see you happy, just as you always made me happy.

Omar: Are you happy now?

Hanami: Yes, but because I am with Sato. And also because I am with Omar.

(She stands up, turns her back to Omar, and starts walking)

Hanami: And let me meet you after death, Sato. Don't forget.

Omar: You're never going to stop using the name 'Sato', are you?

Hanami: Definitely not. Because the one I met before I died was Sato, and you will always be Sato, and you will remain Sato to me until I die again. Don't think that no matter what happens, your name will change.

(Hanami's last 15 years arrive, reaching the age of 65. She falls ill in her final year)

Omar: Even now, don't you want me to give you the cure?

Hanami: Not everything is magic, Sato. Even if it gives you life, because in the end, it's what will also make you lose it.

(Hanami begins to take her last breaths)

Hanami: Thank you for what you've given me in my life. I don't know if I've become wise or not, but I can't do anything right now except cry.

(Hanami starts to cry)

Omar: It will always be the opposite for me, because you are the one who gave me this adventure that I lived. And no, you didn't become wise, you were always wise.

Hanami: You are the one I loved and the one I will love until the last moment of my life, Sato.

(Hanami closes her eyelids for the last time, and dies)

(After Hanami's funeral ends, Omar sits on a chair and looks at the ceiling)

Omar: Alright, kids, these are your shares from the company and my money. All my money, all the properties, my houses.

Kanki: We don't want the money, we want her.

Omar: You've grown up and gotten married now, this is your role. I'm going to leave you, so you must take your money.

(Omar gives the money and everything he owns in the country to his children)

Omar: Goodbye, kids.

Kamado: Why are you like this? Why don't you care?

(He punches him with his fist)

Omar: Stop. I understand your anger, but there really is nothing left for me to do here anymore, boy.

(He stands up, opens the door, and when he closes it, he sits on the ground and begins to cry.)

(A portal opens beside him and someone steps out)

???: Hello, Omar.

Omar: Who are you?

Luther: I am X Luther, a time traveler. I fix the mistakes of the past, or the mistakes that caused time to end.

Omar: And what will cause time to end?

Luther: Actually, the world didn't end here. But you will go to Hanami, and you destroyed someone by telling them you love someone else.

(He sits next to Omar)

Omar: I didn't mean that.

Luther: Let's make time better. This will be exhausting, but it's worth the effort.

Omar: Why are you going to do this?

Luther: Actually, I met you from another timeline. I am Tom's great-great-grandson. In a letter from Tom, it says to compensate you with whatever you wish for. That's why I went to meet you, and you wished deep down to give Hanami a better life than the one you provided for her.

....

Sword of Eternity: The Long Covenant's Journey

Time Traveler: Luther

Hair: Black

Age: 27

Eyes: White with black dots

Height: 181

....

Omar: Really, this is a good thing.

Luther: What do you mean?

Omar: That Tom had a child; he was very sad. And you didn't tell me what you're going to do to make Hanami's life better.

Luther: We will go back to the past. Will you come with me, or do you want to stay here until I finish?

Omar: Of course, I want to see how this will happen.

(Luther opens the portal)

(Omar stands with Luther and they enter the portal)

(They go to when she was a tree)

Omar: Where am I?

Luther: You're here, what do you mean?

Omar: I'm not supposed to be here.

Luther: We are in the past, yes. But because you entered with me, you are inside your body at this time, in the same timeline, with the same mind.

Omar: What are you going to do then?

Luther: We are on the day the tree turns into a human.

(They wait until the tree transforms)

Omar: It's starting to bloom.

(The tree turns into a human)

Hanami: Sato.

Luther: For God's sake, cover her! Why is she naked?

(Omar covers her)

Hanami: What happened? Where are we?

Omar: Say the Shahada, please.

Hanami: What happened? Why should I say the Shahada?

Omar: Just say it.

(Hanami says the Shahada)

Luther: There is no need for this. I will input all the basic information about all the major religions, and she will choose anyway.

(He grabs her head and puts her to sleep)

Omar: What are you doing?

Luther: We will move her to your house.

(They take her to Omar's house)

Luther: Go inside, get everything that matters to you, your weapons and other things from inside.

Omar: Alright.

(After Omar comes out, Luther transforms everything in the house as soon as he steps foot inside)

Omar: How did you do that?

Luther: Let's continue now, please. There is no time to waste.

(He grabs Hanami's head again)

Omar: What are you doing now?

Luther: I am putting memories into her head and altering them. I made her an orphan girl who built a company for a massive businessman, but he gave her the company as an inheritance, since he didn't have any children.

Omar: Do you mean Sophia?

Luther: Exactly. Alright, now we leave her and go to the company.

Omar: Thank you.

Luther: No problem, this is the least I can do because you gave my great-great-grandfather that potion that allowed him to have children. Even though it's a dirty lineage, you did what he wished for.

(They go to the company and change the paperwork and information, stating that the company's owner died 40 years ago when Sophia died, and that the investments with Gwen belong to a businesswoman, with her money coming from Sophia, who was the company's manager in the past)

(After changing the past)

Omar: What now?

(Luther takes out cigarettes and starts smoking one)

Luther: You aren't the only one whose future was planned by his family. Kwaki also determined Hanami's future, so don't worry, nothing will be ruined. And do you want to know something good about yourself?

Omar: What is it?

Luther: That you are the person whose life influenced most of the important figures, like me, Rayn, Hova, and others. The funny thing is that you are one of the reasons the destruction of the world stopped, because everyone you influenced knew that evil is useless, and that power ends in death. That's why they didn't intervene in events. If they had intervened, the end of the world would have been inevitable.

Omar: Really, I am happy to hear this. But does this mean you are trying to cancel all the ends of the world?

Luther: No, I am only trying to cancel the events that make the world end in a way other than its original way.

Omar: What is the original way?

Luther: Unfortunately, I can't say, but you know it well.

Omar: Anyway, what do we do now?

Luther: Come with me, we will return to the location we came from.

Omar: What will happen then?

Luther: Just come with me.

(They enter the portal)

Luther: Welcome to the present.

Omar: So, everything has changed, right?

Luther: Yes. I will leave now, I don't have much time. Do what you have to do, be with the one you love, and stay beside the one who helped you. Alright, old man.

Omar: Old man?

Luther: A girl calls me an old man, so I thought I'd say the same to you given your age.

Omar: Anyway, thank you, thank you so much. I thought I was going to ruin everything and make Hanami a pointless dot in my life.

Luther: Goodbye, Omar, it was an honor meeting you in this world. Send my regards to your children when you have them, and tell them they are wonderful.

(Omar starts to laugh)

Omar: Goodbye, Luther. And now, I will always be without regret for anything I did in my life.

(Luther enters the portal)

(Omar puts down the paper, opens the portal, and transports through it to the underground continent)
