LEE P.O.V
I'm surprised that Mary is Maya's sister. They are so different, but that's not really my problem right now. The most annoying problem is that Lana is nowhere to be seen. We checked everywhere, even her quiet spot, and she's still nowhere to be found. "Maybe she's gone home," Mary said nervously. I don't know why she looked nervous. "Maybe we should stop looking for her," I said. I don't even know why I said that. I can't tell what I'm feeling right now. After holding in my feelings for more than five years, the moment I finally decided to tell her how I feel, everything suddenly became complicated. I haven't even confessed to her yet. I chuckled at the thought. "What's wrong with you?" Mary asked, bringing me out of my thoughts. I cleared my throat. "It's just that I haven't told her how I feel yet, and there's already so much trouble. What happens when I finally do? Maybe there'll be World War III." She laughed. "Are you seriously thinking about that? Here I was thinking you'd be worried about where we're going to find her. But honestly, I think that's going to happen soon because my sister is about to pull a Black Widow move." I frowned. "A what?" "You know that scene in Avengers: Endgame where Black Widow sacrificed herself so Hawkeye could get the Soul Stone? In this case, you're the stone and Lana is Black Widow." She burst out laughing. "I doubt Lana would need the stone," I muttered. "She must hate me by now." "She really does." I narrowed my eyes at her. "You're not going to tell your sister any of the things we discussed, right?" She rolled her eyes dramatically. "What exactly did we discuss?" she asked innocently. I laughed. "So you really won't snitch? Then maybe I should tell you something else. I…" The bell rang before I could finish. "See you tomorrow. I've got practice. It was really nice talking to you today." "Same here," she replied. I was about to respond when I heard a high-pitched voice scream from the second floor. "MARY!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THIS JERK? LET'S GO! I HAVE TO STUDY!" Everyone turned to look at us. "Does she really have to be that loud?" Mary muttered. I just shrugged as she walked away, but seriously… did she have to be that loud? I frowned when I remembered that Maya was supposed to have a crush on me. Do you call your crush a jerk? Then again, she dated Peter. I didn't really know much about her until then, and honestly, my first impression of her was terrible. But when I think about my first impression of Lumi, I can't help but smile. That's what I call Lana. She shines everywhere she goes. Even with her dark skin, she somehow stands out more than everyone else. The memory of the first day we met made me blush. My watch suddenly beeped, reminding me that I was about to be two minutes late if I didn't move my blushing ass.
