Originally, this tactic of drawing the defenders away by the gods was supposed to be a guaranteed kill.
It was the best opportunity for the gods to win.
But no one expected that the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens would rely on his own strength, using an almost suicidal fighting style and his antlers that had absorbed the essence of Lord Morax's Geo power.
At the painful cost of his entire body being covered in wounds.
He consecutively slew two gods and severely crippled the remaining two.
The situation instantly reversed!
Creating a miracle of fighting one against four, an almost impossible feat.
The remaining two injured gods looked at the corpses of their two slain companions, their bodies trembling slightly.
They both had the thought of fleeing!
According to this trend, even if the last two gods risked their lives, they could not defeat the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens, let alone cross Tianheng Pass.
But...
Just as the two gods were terrified and preparing to flee in panic.
Suddenly!
The mountain body of the Tianheng Mountains beneath their feet began to tremble violently.
Deafening roars echoed from within the Tianheng Mountains.
Countless giant boulders rolled down from the peak!
A massive fissure spanning the entire Tianheng Mountains appeared before everyone's eyes.
At this moment!
Not only the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens, Yaksha Xiao, and the remaining two gods standing at the peak of the Tianheng Mountains.
But also the Millelith soldiers guarding the pass walls, and the yakshas fighting one by one, all saw this shocking scene.
Saw the horrifyingly massive fissure.
Felt the violent trembling of the mountain.
Heard the rumbling, gigantic noises.
At this moment, a horrifying thought arose in everyone's minds: The Tianheng Mountains were going to collapse!
The Millelith soldiers could not remain calm and were already somewhat panicked:
"The trembling hasn't stopped, that massive fissure is still expanding!"
"The Tianheng Mountains are tilting!"
"At the foot of the Tianheng Mountains are the villages of Liyue's citizens, with tens of thousands of people taking refuge there!"
"Who will stop it!"
"The Tianheng Mountains are so huge, who can stop them from collapsing?"
"Use the spears in your hands to prop up the Tianheng Mountains and keep them balanced!"
"Impossible... the Tianheng Mountains are too massive. Even with more spears, it is impossible to support the collapsing mountains!"
...
Feeling the mountain beneath their feet tilting, the Millelith soldiers could no longer remain calm.
They were in a complete panic!
After all, in the villages at the foot of the Tianheng Mountains lived many of their family members.
If they couldn't even protect their families and the citizens at the foot of the mountain.
Then what was the point of this war?
Moreover!
Facing such a massive mountain body.
They could not think of any way to stop it from collapsing no matter what.
Just as the Millelith soldiers were frozen in place.
The commander suddenly roared angrily: "Our duty is to hold Tianheng Pass! To not let a single divine familiar cross Tianheng Pass!"
"Even if the Tianheng Mountains collapse, we cannot let the divine familiars pass!"
Under the angry roar of the Millelith commander.
All the Millelith soldiers realized it.
Stopping the Tianheng Mountains from collapsing was the business of the adepti. They, the Millelith soldiers, only needed to hold Tianheng Pass.
As the Millelith soldiers engaged in battle with the divine familiars again amidst the shaking of the mountain.
At this moment!
On the other side of the Tianheng Mountains.
When the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens and Yaksha Xiao felt the mountain tremble, heard the loud noises, and saw the fissures on the mountain growing larger and larger.
They were also startled.
If the Tianheng Mountains were truly going to collapse, all the citizens in the villages at the foot of the mountain would die without a place to bury them.
Opposite the two!
The two gods who were preparing to flee, upon seeing this scene, not only did not run, but instead laughed out loud:
"Hahahaha... this mountain is about to collapse!"
"I want to see!"
"Whether you will protect this mountain, or continue fighting me!"
As soon as the words fell!
The two gods regained their confidence and became incredibly arrogant once again.
Launching an attack towards the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens.
The Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens endured the pain in his body and said angrily, "Xiao, stop the mountain from collapsing first, then deal with these two gods!"
In the eyes of the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens!
These two gods were already defeated foes, and he could slay them sooner or later.
But if the mountain collapsed, half of Liyue would be doomed, a result he could not accept.
So they could only stop the mountain from collapsing first!
Xiao looked at the blood-soaked Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens and nodded seriously. "Alright, I will help you!"
The next moment!
The Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens and Xiao attacked together.
Using their hardest antlers and the Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, they repelled the two gods.
No longer lingering in battle!
They turned and sprinted down the Tianheng Mountains.
Both of them were extremely fast, arriving at the foot of the Tianheng Mountains in the blink of an eye.
Looking at the continuously trembling Tianheng Mountains before them, with boulders sliding down and tilting bit by bit, it looked as if it was about to completely collapse.
There was no time to think at all!
The Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens didn't even think twice and directly reached out his hands, using all his might to prop up the Tianheng Mountains.
Xiao also imitated the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens.
His small body erupted with immense power, using his hands to support the entire Tianheng Mountains.
Instantly!
Under the efforts of the two, the tilting Tianheng Mountains miraculously stopped collapsing.
Seeing this scene!
The Millelith soldiers guarding Tianheng Pass cheered!
The citizens in the villages at the foot of the Tianheng Mountains also cheered and shouted, cheering for the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens.
Hearing these shouts!
A smile appeared on Xiao's face. "Brother Skybracer, the mountain has stopped collapsing, we succeeded!"
But!
The pressure brought by the mountain still exceeded their imagination.
On the bloodied face of the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens, there was still no sign of happiness.
He was still worrying about the Tianheng Mountains and the citizens.
After all, there were still two gods left to slay.
He couldn't stay here forever, using his hands to support the entire Tianheng Mountains. He needed to go slay the gods.
Sure enough!
Just as the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens and Xiao were using their own power to forcibly prop up the tilting Tianheng Mountains.
The two equally battered gods also arrived at the foot of the Tianheng Mountains.
They chuckled!
Glancing at the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens supporting the mountain with his hands, and then at the citizens' villages not far away.
They suddenly burst into loud laughter. "Should we slay this adeptus first? Or flatten that noisy village first? What do you think, Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens?"
The other god also laughed loudly. "Hahaha, those mortal villages will be flattened sooner or later. Let's slay this adeptus first!"
Compared to the citizens' villages not far away.
The two gods hated the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens before them even more, wishing they could eat him in one bite to avenge the other two gods.
After making their decision!
The two gods didn't waste any time!
Directly enduring the injuries on their bodies, they erupted with the last of the elemental power within them.
Wanting to take advantage of the Adeptus Who Guides the Heavens supporting the mountain.
To deliver a fatal blow and kill him instantly.
