Chapter 184 - Chapter 184: Victor's Mattress Review

Ten minutes later, Tyler was just in the middle of frantically helping a guest check in when the front desk phone started buzzing with vibration.

He picked up the phone to answer, and in no time, his expression instantly turned somewhat peculiar. He stammered as he spoke to Victor:

"Boss... boss, Miss Siren says... says the drain in her room is a bit clogged, and she specifically asked for me to... to go take a look."

After saying this, without waiting for Victor's reaction, Tyler bolted like a startled rabbit and disappeared in a flash. His retreating figure looked unmistakably eager.

Victor, still holding the half-filled registration card, gazed in the direction Tyler had vanished and subconsciously clicked his tongue, muttering quietly:

"Tsk... can fixing a drain be done so... enthusiastically?"

His subtle expression and muttering didn't escape the notice of his two girlfriends, who had been keeping an eye on him.

A soft, warm hand silently landed on the tender flesh at his waist. The fingertips exerted a slight pressure, giving a warning pinch.

"Hmm? Victor..."

Enid's eyes narrowed slightly as she leaned close to his ear. Her voice was sweet as honey, yet carried a hint of danger.

"That expression you just had... were you jealous of Tyler?"

At the same time, a chilling low pressure emanated from the other side.

Wednesday had, at some point, put down her pen. She crossed her arms, giving him a sidelong glance. Her pale face showed no expression, but the coldness in her eyes was almost freezing.

Although she didn't speak, her silent stare was more oppressive than any interrogation.

Victor instantly felt a chill on the back of his neck. The simultaneous gazes from both sides made his scalp tingle.

Oh no! I got carried away!

Victor's eyes rolled, and his reaction was astonishingly quick!

He immediately put down what he was holding, turned around, and grabbed both Enid's and Wednesday's hands, clasping them tightly in his palms. A brilliantly bright, even somewhat silly, proud smile spread across his face as he spoke loudly, as if afraid those around wouldn't hear:

"Jealous of him? Don't be ridiculous!"

First, he planted a loud kiss on the back of Enid's hand, looking at her affectionately: "My Enid is gentle and considerate, the sweetest Little Wolf Girl in the entire universe!"

Then he quickly turned to Wednesday, giving her cold hand a firm kiss as well, his tone exaggerated: "My Wednesday is smart and composed, the coolest Dark Queen in the whole world!"

Finally, he raised both hands to his chest, clasping them tightly together. He looked left and right, his face radiating a triumphant and satisfied "I've won the world" expression, and declared loudly:

"If anyone's jealous, it must be Tyler jealous of me! At most, he can help one lady fix a pipe, but me?"

He puffed out his chest; if he had a tail, it would probably be pointing straight up to the sky.

"I have two of the best, most beautiful, most amazing girlfriends in the world at the same time! What does he have to compare? He should be green with envy!"

This smooth, unsparing stream of direct praise and "logically clear" comparison acted like the most effective fire extinguisher, instantly dousing the little flickers of jealousy that had just risen in Enid and Wednesday.

Enid couldn't help but let out a giggle, two blushes appearing on her cheeks. She playfully tapped him and chided, "Smooth talker! Who's yours..."

But the smile in her eyes and the way she squeezed his hand back betrayed her good mood.

Although Wednesday still wore her usual icy expression, the coldness in her eyes had already vanished, and a barely perceptible hint of amusement even flashed through them.

She let out a soft humph, withdrew her hand, picked up her pen again, and said plainly:

"Glib. If you don't get back to work, the line will stretch out the door."

Though her tone was dismissive, she was clearly no longer pursuing the matter.

Seeing this, Victor let out a long internal sigh of relief, knowing he had cleverly navigated another "crisis."

He chuckled and threw himself back into his work with renewed vigor, as if the guy who was jealous of someone else moments ago wasn't him at all.

Mavis, watching this scene from not far away, smiled and shook her head before returning to her own tasks.

The busy peak period finally passed, and the front desk temporarily regained its tranquility.

Mavis tidied the counter while sneaking glances out of the corner of her eye at Victor, Enid, and Wednesday, who were huddled together chatting and laughing quietly.

Watching her younger brother with one arm around each girl, looking blissfully foolish, a mischievous glint flashed in Mavis's eyes. A "brilliant" idea came to mind.
