'Wait… he thinks I like men?' Liam couldn't believe his ears. He stared at Lucas, his brows slightly drawn together, trying to process what he had just heard.
But Lucas wasn't done.
His voice lowered, carrying a mix of guilt and awkward sincerity as he continued, "And I'm sorry about all this that I caused. I honestly didn't know you were this way. I was just trying to tease you so you'd get out of the sauna and I could use it alone."
"Lucas, raise your head and look at me!" Liam said, his voice sharp, firm, and impossible to ignore.
Lucas obeyed immediately, lifting his head and meeting Liam's piercing gaze. Those eyes seemed to bore straight into him.
"You think I like you? That I like men?" Liam asked, each word deliberate.
But instead of answering the question directly, Lucas rushed ahead, his thoughts spilling over themselves.
"I'm really sorry. To make it up to you, so you wouldn't feel alone in this, I can also… stroke you off."
