Chapter 35 - SEASON 1 | EPISODE 35: THE ARCHITECT’S NEW BURDEN

1. The Midnight Predator

The silence of the Sahu residence was shattered at 2:00 A.M., not by an explosion, but by the sound of rending wood and stone. Aaryan's eyes snapped open. He didn't reach for his phone; he reached for the Spatial Awareness of the house.

He stepped into the hallway and stopped. The walls were marred with deep, jagged gouges—claw marks that had sliced through solid concrete as if it were paper. The air smelled of ozone and wild musk. In the center of the wreckage stood a creature of nightmare: a towering silver-grey Werewolf. In its massive, clawed hand, it clutched the shredded remnants of a child's dress—the dress Toshika had been wearing.

Aaryan didn't flinch. His cold, blue eyes met the glowing amber eyes of the beast. "Toshika," he said, his voice a low vibration. "Control yourself."

The beast let out a guttural roar and lunged. Aaryan moved with a speed that defied physics. He didn't use a blast; he used a precise Pressure Point Strike infused with a drop of Sleep Magic. The werewolf collapsed mid-air, its form shimmering and shrinking as it hit the floor. Within seconds, the beast was gone, replaced by the small, unconscious form of the little girl.

2. The Biological Trap

The commotion finally woke the others. Simran, Riya, and Shreya rushed into the hallway, gasping at the destruction. "Aaryan! What happened? Is that... Toshika?"

Aaryan stood over the girl, his face a mask of calculation. "Yes. She wasn't just a prisoner of the Watcher-Prayers; she was their masterpiece. They injected her with a high-tier necrotic drug designed to bond with her DNA. She was meant to be a sleeper agent—a weapon to kill me, and eventually, all of you."

"Can we fix her?" Shreya asked, looking at the tiny girl. "Can we make her human again?"

Aaryan shook his head slowly. "The drug has bonded to every cell in her body. It's part of her now. We can't separate it without killing her."

Simran bit her lip. "Then she's a monster forever?"

"Not necessarily," Aaryan replied. "We can't remove the wolf, but we can study it. We can lower its effectiveness and eventually master it. But for now, she stays with us. Simran, you'll help me analyze the samples tomorrow. For now, we move to my room. I'm not letting her out of my sight tonight."

3. The "Father" Problem

The next morning, the house was quiet until 8:00 A.M. Aaryan and the girls were already in the training hall, going through their high-intensity drills. Toshika woke up 20 minutes later, rubbing her eyes and looking confused. She wandered into the hall, watching Aaryan move with supernatural grace.

She walked up to him, tilting her head. "What can I call you?" she asked softly.

Aaryan paused his strike. "You can call me Aaryan. Or Brother. Whatever is comfortable."

Toshika looked at him with big, innocent eyes. "Okay. From now on, I call you... Father."

Aaryan's poker face shattered for a fraction of a second. "What? No. Please, do not call me 'Father.' I am far too young for that. Call me Brother."

"No," Toshika insisted, a stubborn glint in her eyes. "You saved me. You are Father."

Aaryan felt a vein throb in his temple. He looked over at Simran, Riya, and Shreya, hoping for support. Instead, he found them sitting on the bench, a literal bowl of popcorn in their hands. They were laughing so hard they could barely breathe.

"Aaryan, don't disturb us!" Simran shouted in a comedic tone. "We're watching the best reality show of the season: 'The Architect Becomes a Dad!'"

"Help me convince her," Aaryan commanded, his voice cold.

"Oh, sorry, we're just kidding, Father Aaryan!" Riya teased, blowing him a kiss.

Aaryan's eyes narrowed. "Fine. If you want to play, we'll play. Shreya, you know the deadly training you do from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M.? Simran and Riya are joining you today. Double intensity."

Shreya's smile grew wide. "Finally! Come on, girls, welcome to my world."

The laughter died instantly. "Wait, Aaryan, we were just joking!" Simran cried.

"I don't joke," Aaryan said, turning back to Toshika. "And Shreya, don't look so happy. For you, the training is extended by an extra two hours. Now, help me with the kid."

4. The Alchemist's Breakthrough

After an hour of intense debate and several bribes of sweets, Toshika was finally convinced to call him "Big Brother" instead of "Father." With that distraction handled, Aaryan turned his focus to the system.

He opened the System Shop and spent a massive amount of SC coins on "Divine Experimentation Magic." This passive skill ensured that any alchemical or magical experiment he conducted would have a 100% success rate.

He spent the next seven hours locked in his lab with Simran. He took samples of Toshika's blood and began crafting a counter-agent. He didn't want to take away her power; he wanted to give her control.

By evening, he had created a glowing violet serum. "This isn't an antidote," he explained to the group as they gathered for dinner. "It's a bridge. It will allow Toshika to remain conscious while transformed. Eventually, it will give her the power to trigger the transformation herself, even during the day."

Toshika took the dose without fear. She trusted the boy who had saved her from the dark.

As the sun set, the group sat down for a quiet dinner. The house was still scarred with claw marks, and the pressure of the final three exams tomorrow was heavy, but for the first time, the "Sahu Party" felt like a real family. Aaryan watched them, his mind already calculating the next move. He was no longer just a student or an architect. He was a protector.
