Christopher nodded in agreement. "Yes, that's the reason."
Janice understood. That was just an excuse. The real reason was due to her relationship with Christopher.
She said, "Did your family oppose our relationship?"
Christopher was silent. He reached out to hold her hand and assured, "Don't let your imagination run wild. It's nothing like that."
He reached out and hugged her.
Janice lay quietly in Christopher's arms. She knew that Christopher wasn't telling her the truth.
She said, "Actually, you don't have to hide it from me. You should let me know what they think of us so I can prepare myself beforehand."
Christopher's heart ached after he heard Janice. He furrowed his eyebrows and said, "Don't be silly. My grandpa adores you. Don't stress out about these things."
"Of course I know that he likes me. I'm referring to your father," Janice said. Then she raised her head to look at his chin.
