"I made you a lavish breakfast," Lucas said.
"I'm not hungry," I pouted.
"You still have to eat. I don't exactly have work today either so I guess I could take you out on a date if some kind," Lucas said.
Why is he acting so weirdly nice?
Did I actually tame him or is he the playing me?
"No, I don't want to," I said. I tried to sit up but couldn't. My body felt entirely too heavy.
"Foods ready, Tyler," he said.
I felt hot too.
"Oh come on, are you still upset? Morning wood is normal," Lucas said. I could hear him rolling his eyes. I didn't move and kept back to him. He sighed behind me. "I won't do it again so eat a bit."
I couldn't even speak.
Lucas shook me. "Tyler!"
Ugh! Why is he yelling?
I just want to sleep.

I drifted through smoke.
Not normal smoke either. Thick. Heavy. Sweet in one breath and bitter in the next, curling around my ankles like it knew where I was going before I did.
The sky above me wasn't a sky.
