Toshinori Yagi had noticed it.
Young Midoriya had been quiet since the moment he last saw.
He could see the admiration that boy had towards that child.
That had been obvious since the first week he had met the boy. Back then, he wondered what kind of child she really was. According to Midoriya, she had only been in his school for exactly one day and never returned again.
All Might wondered what had happened. But he found no point in looking into it. That child left years ago.
During the entrance exam, the top three scores were total outliers well past hundred.
He had expected either young Bakugo or young Midoriya to take the first place before he wished and sent them on the exam day.
But to his surprise, neither children came first.
The first place was secured by a young girl Akira with a staggering 188 points followed by Bakugo and Midoriya at 149 and 147 respectively.
When he saw the results, he was fairly surprised and wanted to see the performance himself.
He was surprised again.
Not only did she not bother to fight any of the robots, she stopped attacking the robots after reaching the score of 99 and continued to pull others out of the way of stray attacks from other applicants or robot attacks from blind spots.
But she didn't stop there. She positioned other examinees in positions that are more advantageous for them.
He looked forward to see her career and growth. And wanted to participate in shaping that young mind.
He watched the performances of all the students in the first class secretly.
That child had good grasp of her quirk and was quite creative. He saw Midoriya following her example and rotating at high speed before throwing the ball during his chance.
So it was this girl. That boy always copied the people he admired. Either it's him, young Bakugo or this young Akira.
It took a while before he started using One for All as his own in his style rather than copying what he saw. But he got there. That didn't change the fact that the boy liked to copy those who he admired.
Later when he asked him if she was the one he talked all the time about, the answer was immediate fanboyism. He had to control a laugh.
During the battle trial, Aizawa kun had placed Akira against a team drawn by lots. And she happened to be paired with Bakugo and Todoroki.
He knew how Bakugo fought. And Todoroki was Endeavour's child. That should by no means be an easy match. Both were emmitters. By all odds, Akira should lose.
But. Not only did she win, she completely dismantled them mentally. She might have not realised what she had done, but ever since that day, young Bakugo had been training with even more rigor. He suspected the same with Todoroki.
She had taken it too far. But he could not reprimand her. She was effective. As a teacher, it would be his responsibility to mold her in the right way.
Hence, he went to her after the school ended wanting to talk to her. To show her the way of a hero. But she didnot listen. Young blood. Full of life and potential that could become dangerous if left without direction.
But then again, she cannot be blamed. Her intentions were good. But she showed the tendency to take things a little too far. She resembled the principal in that aspect.
When he arrived at USJ, he was prepared to jump in immediately. He was with the principal when the radio started to buzz. They checked on it only to realise that the kids were in danger. He rushed there immediately. But it was already too late. He had failed them. If only he was stronger and had more time, he would've joined the class.
The children wouldn't have faced that. He was later breifed about everything that happened by Aizawa kun.
Tsukauchi kun also told him everything the children told during the investigation.
Young Akira did a remarkable job at keeping her class safe even at the cost of staining her hands.
Her certainty and leadership made everyone function without panic.
He understood why young Midoriya was silent. It may not be obvious to others. Akira was doing a good job pulling everyone out of their heads.
Young Midoriya. Young Bakugo. Both of them are deeply affected. He could see that. They might be comparing themselves to her now.
He would have done the same if he were to be in their place. He would have to talk to them personally.
And Bakugo, Allmight was worried how hard that child would start pushing himself now. Unlike Midoriya, that boy showed bitterness and unsolved tension whenever she was mentioned. It only got worse every day.
He was chasing her. All might understood that. He want to be seen by her. That was probably the reason that boy charged at her during the battle trial with such reckless desperation.
So many unresolved tensions.
