Aoyama stilled for a few seconds before his usual sparkles practically seemed to return around him.
" Il n'est pire eau que l'eau qui dort. " He blinked his eyes closed in deep intellectual thought.
( Translation: Still water runs deep)
The room blinked at him.
Akira stared blankly for a second before deadpanning," We don't know French, Flashy. "
Aoyama simply smiled brightly, one hand dramatically rising to his forehead as if he was posing for a painting.
" I am fine, mademoiselle! I cannot stop my magnifique! " he declared proudly. " They simply fell before my sparkles. "
A beat of silence passed.
Then Akira snorted.
" Okay... that's dark." She grinned at him. " Don't know you're into dark humour "
A laugh escaped her immediately after, and this time the others followed far easier than before.
Even Aoyama looked pleased at successfully lightening the mood.
Kaminari wheezed loudly.
" The darkness has claimed him. " Tokoyami looked at him seriously.
A few more laughs spread around the room.
The atmosphere slowly shifted after that.
People started speaking again little by little, conversations quietly branching around the room.
Mina remained curled beside Akira while talking softly with Tsuyu.
Near the back of the room, Bakugo sat unusually quiet, red eyes occasionally flickering toward the others before looking away again with irritation.
Midoriya hasn't spoken but at some point during the laughter, his shoulders loosened slightly.
He was just glad Akira didn't ask him anything. He didn't know if he could hide it if she asked him then.
Outside the dorm room, two figures stood silently near the doorway.
Aizawa leaned against the wall with his arms crossed while All Might stood beside him quietly.
The sounds of laughter drifted through the partially opened door.
"They're doing well." Aizawa stated seriously.
Beside him, a deflated All Might nodded slowly.
"…They will make good heroes."
His gaze lingered on the students inside.
Bruised, scared, faced beyond what they could , but laughing anyway.
Aizawa closed his eyes briefly before speaking again.
" We owe them a lot." His voice remained low and firm. " For now, leaving them together is the best thing we could do."
All Might nodded once more.
"…Yes."
The two quietly turned to leave.
But before walking away completely, All Might's gaze lingered briefly toward two students inside the room.
Midoriya and Bakugo.
And for a moment, his expression dimmed with understanding.
Because he knew exactly what was going through their heads.
" Guys, I'll be back. I need to go to the washroom. You guys be at the pool. "
Akira silently slipped out of the scene.
" Oh hell yeah!" Kaminari stood up excited wanting to jump into the pool already.
The girls exchanged quiet glances knowing what was about to happen.
Everyone slowly went to the pool as the girls excused themselves saying they are too tired.
" Oh man! Come on! That's so unmanly!" Kirishima complained.
" We're not men Kirishima. " Jiro replied with a smirk as they left.
Kaminari genuinely looked disappointed as they all moved towards the pool.
Bakugo was the last to step out of the room looking strangely calm and quiet, without his usual frown.
The moment he stepped out, his face immediately met with a waterballoon crashing at full force.
There was a single moment of stillness before he started yelling .
" WHO THE HELL IS THAT!??! I'LL KILL YOU!!!!!"
And immediately, the whole class burst into laughter.
" Baku Bro! You got headshotted!!" Kirishima howled but his laugh was shortlived as a waterballoon came crashing at him.
" Not so manly now huh?" Jiro smirked tossing a waterballoon in one hand as all the girls appeared out of the room with something that looked like bags on their backs with guns connected.
They were not using hands to throw the waterballoons.
" That's cheating!!! We don't have anything!!" Sero yelled as everyone started jumping around escaping the bombardment of the waterballoons as Momo created more and kept filling the bags behind the girls.
Akira was still nowhere to be found.
But the waterballoons appearing out of nowhere clearly signalled that she's sneaking around the place.
Bakugo, Midoriya and Aoyama became the main victims of Akira who was appearing and disappearing immediately behind the rooms and building roof.
" DAMN YOU KIRA!!!! I'LL FREAKING MURDER YOU!!!! " Needless to say, it didn't take long for it to become a game of tag between those two as she still used her quirk to throw the balloons at him from behind as she ran in front of him.
Needless to say, she was using blood tendrils to take the waterballoons Momo was making as she flew around the pool and above rooftops, Bakugo sharp on her tail.
" Catch me if you can firecracker!" She yelled laughing loudly.
" HAAAAA?!!?! JUST YOU FREAKING WAIT!!! WHEN I FREAKING CATCH YOU-" Splash! Bakugo's yelling was cut off by another waterballoon hitting straight at his face from point blank range.
" Can't hear you over my awesomeness!" She laughed loudly.
