Chapter 11 - Should I Sell The Sword?

"I see. It would make a lot of sense—it's a summon, after all. Anyway, why I proposed to you getting a loan from my father's pocket is because there is a high chance he'd agree. Also, the discovery about its peak rank and the possibility to restore itself… it would definitely pique his interest.

Do you need a blacksmith to restore its body, or can you do it by yourself?"

Before Felix could ask the Guide, the latter's voice already echoed in his mind.

[You can do it by yourself, host. I will teach you the process. All you need is a blacksmith room.]

Felix replied to Krisha, "I can do it by myself, but I need a blacksmith room."

Krisha nodded. "Alright. I'll arrange that for you. Also, I have to remind you, the secret about your sword, once restored, shouldn't be revealed. Thankfully, it's difficult to assess it through its energy since it's different from ours.

But, I'm telling you, you have to be careful. Others might covet it.

Lucia, are you listening?"

"Yes, Miss. I won't tell a single soul about it."

Krisha nodded. "Thank you." She turned towards Felix and said, "Lucia can be trusted."

Felix smiled. "I know. Don't worry about it, I'll keep your reminders in mind.

As for the loan, well, if it's possible and as long as it won't annoy the Mayor, I won't mind taking it."

Krisha rolled her eyes. "Stop overthinking things. If he said he's fine with it, then he is, if not, then he'll tell you that he won't."

Without waiting for Felix to reply, Krisha called her father's phone number and it instantly connected.

"Father, here's the thing. Felilx's sword is in need of materials to…"

Felix listened quietly—his heart raced with anxiety. His mind couldn't help but think that the mayor might disagree.

Once Krisha finished explaining the situation to her father, Felix was quite tense.

His heart skipped a beat when he heard Krisha say, "If possible, give him a loan of three million credits."

Felix's eyes widened. Just how expensive are the materials? And how long can I repay that huge amount?

Should I really sell the sword?

As Krisha went quiet, the Mayor's voice was vaguely echoing as Krisha did not put it in the speaker mode, causing Felix's heart beat getting louder than the noise inside the blue sedan.

Finally, the call ended and Felix stared at Krisha with an anxious expression painted on his face.

Krisha was about to say something but she couldn't help but laugh seeing Felix's expression.

"Why… are you staring at me like that? It's so funny."

Felix was taken aback and sighed, leaning back to his seat.

He grumbled. "I'm nervous, isn't that obvious?"

Krisha rolled her eyes and said, "What are you getting nervous for?"

Felix did not reply, waiting for her to reveal how the conversation with her father went

Krisha replied, "Well, my father agreed. It will be deposited in your account at any moment.

Also, he's telling me to remind you that you must hide the fact about your sword.

He sounded serious, too."

Felix heaved a sigh of relief.

He said, "Did he tell you that I have to pay for it every month? Or if at once, how much is the interest?"

Krisha shrugged. "There's a reason why I wanted you to get a loan through my father's pocket. Unlike the other agency you know, it's more than fine for him if you'll only get to pay for it in the next ten years.

Or more.

It really doesn't matter for him, as long as you are worth investing in.

As for the interest, there's no interest. He's not some hungry shark, you know?

Is that what you think of my father?"

"What?!" Felix was taken aback. "No!"

Krisha giggled and turned her attention to the window, watching the scenery.

Felix stared at Krisha and was silent for a while.

He said, "Thank you."

Krisha was surprised. She turned towards Felix, who refused to stare at her but kept facing at her.

She giggled and replied, "You're cute, you know?"

"Huh?" Felix panicked. His face flushed.

He leaned his back on his seat and turned towards the window, hiding his hot face.

Krisha simply giggled and returned her focus to the window, enjoying the scenery passing by.

They remained quiet until they reached the upper inner ring of the Chambers City.

It was heavily trafficked compared to the upper outer ring.

As they drove through inside, Krisha initiated the conversation after glancing at her watch.

"We'll go to the dojo later at 2 pm, so we still have less than four hours. We'll use this time to visit a blacksmith and to your sister, while eating lunch before going there."

Felix was slightly surprised. He did not expect Krisha to have already planned out what to do today. In fact, he was not aware what time they would visit the dojo, he thought they would proceed there immediately.

What surprised him the most was Krisha also planned out to visit his sister.

He glanced at her and didn't know how to react.

Krisha kept smiling at him, satisfied by his reaction.

She said, "Well, you never asked in the first place. Haven't you thought of visiting your sister?"

"I do," Felix quickly replied. "Only if I have time."

"Since I have your time, you should have told me. Thankfully, I already knew that visiting your sister is as important as going to a dojo."

Felix nodded. "Thank you. However, when will we be visiting the Beast Tamer Association?"

"Tomorrow. Our schedule is set for tomorrow."

Felix nodded. Just in time, his phone in his pocket buzzed. He anxiously took out his pocket and checked the notification.

The message app notified him that his bank account has been deposited with three million credits tax-free.

Felix's heart skipped a beat.

Krisha saw his reaction and grinned.

"Was it already deposited? That sure was quick."

Felix nodded. "Yeah. Thank you."

"You're welcome." Krisha beamed a smile.

A stunning smile that Felix unfortunately missed, as his eyes were glued to the phone.
