Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A New Beginning

A sleek black car rolled to a smooth stop in front of the grand iron gates of Crestwood Elite Academy. The polished surface of the vehicle reflected the towering buildings and perfectly trimmed gardens that defined the elite institution.

The door opened quietly.

Aaryan Raizada stepped out.

His sharp gaze swept across the campus, taking in every detail—the students in expensive uniforms, the confident laughter, the subtle arrogance in their posture. Everything about this place screamed wealth and status.

But to him… it felt ordinary.

He adjusted his blazer, his movements calm and precise. The golden crest stitched onto the fabric glimmered under the sunlight.

"Crestwood Elite Academy…" he murmured softly.

A faint smile formed on his lips.

"Let's see what you have to offer."

As he began walking toward the entrance, a few students turned their heads instinctively. It wasn't his clothes that caught their attention—it was something else.

His presence.

Calm. Composed. Different.

"Who is he?"

"New transfer?"

Soft whispers spread as he passed by, but Aaryan paid no attention. He had no interest in unnecessary attention.

His grandfather's words echoed in his mind.

"Remember, Aaryan… your identity stays hidden. No one should know who you really are."

Aaryan's eyes flickered slightly.

"Of course, Dadaji…" he thought.

"Where's the fun if the game ends too early?"

The classroom buzzed with noise when he entered.

Students were chatting loudly, some scrolling through their phones, others laughing without a care in the world.

Aaryan walked in quietly, his footsteps steady, his expression neutral. Without drawing too much attention, he took a seat in the middle row.

Balanced.

Perfect.

"Class, settle down!"

The teacher entered, and the noise gradually faded.

"We have a new transfer student today."

All eyes turned toward him.

Aaryan stood up.

There was no nervousness in his posture. No hesitation.

"Aaryan," he said simply. "Nice to meet you."

That was it.

No introduction about his background.

No attempt to impress.

Yet strangely… it worked.

A few girls exchanged glances.

"Mysterious…"

"He didn't even try…"

Aaryan sat back down calmly, as if none of it mattered.

Just then, the classroom door opened again.

A girl walked in.

The atmosphere shifted instantly.

Siya Kapoor.

Her long hair flowed behind her as she walked with natural confidence. Her expression was calm, almost indifferent, as if she was used to being admired.

She didn't try to stand out.

She simply did.

Aaryan's eyes followed her for a brief second.

Their gazes met.

Just for a moment.

Then she looked away… completely uninterested.

Aaryan leaned back slightly, a faint smirk appearing on his lips.

"Not impressed, huh…"

"Good."

As the class continued, more personalities started becoming clear.

Rhea Mehra—the center of attention. Loud, confident, always surrounded by people.

Tara Singh—energetic and mischievous, constantly turning around to look at Aaryan with curiosity.

Anika Sharma—quiet, shy, her eyes lowering every time someone looked at her… yet occasionally glancing toward Aaryan.

Kiara Joshi—silent, observant, watching everything like she was analyzing a puzzle.

Aaryan noticed all of it.

Every detail.

Every expression.

"Interesting group…" he thought.

Lunch break.

The campus was alive.

Students gathered in groups, laughter echoing across the open courtyard.

Aaryan chose a quiet spot under a large tree and sat down alone.

Peaceful.

Calm.

Exactly how he preferred it.

But peace… didn't last long.

"Hey, new guy!"

A voice broke the silence.

Tara dropped onto the bench beside him without hesitation.

"You're way too quiet. It's suspicious."

Aaryan glanced at her.

"And you're way too loud."

For a second, Tara froze.

Then she burst out laughing.

"Okay, I like you already!"

Before he could respond, another voice joined.

"Mind if we sit?"

Rhea Mehra stood there, smiling confidently.

Without waiting for permission, she sat down across from him.

"You've got people talking, you know," she said, crossing her arms. "That's not easy here."

"I didn't do anything," Aaryan replied calmly.

"Exactly," Rhea smirked. "That's why it's interesting."

Not far away…

Siya stood with her friends.

But her attention wasn't fully there.

Her eyes drifted—toward Aaryan.

Toward the girls sitting with him.

Tara laughing loudly.

Rhea leaning forward, clearly engaged.

For some reason… it felt annoying.

Her brows furrowed slightly.

"Why do I even care?" she muttered under her breath.

And yet… she didn't look away.

Back under the tree—

"You're hiding something," Tara said suddenly, leaning closer.

Aaryan raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?"

"Yeah," she grinned. "People like you don't just appear out of nowhere."

Rhea nodded slightly.

"She's right. There's something off about you… in a good way."

Aaryan looked at both of them for a moment.

Then he smiled faintly.

"Maybe you're right."

That answer only made them more curious.

As the day went on, whispers spread faster.

"The new guy is different…"

"He doesn't try, but still stands out…"

"Who is he really?"

But no one had the answer.

Not about his name.

Not about his family.

Not about the empire behind him.

Evening.

The campus glowed under the golden hues of the setting sun.

Aaryan stood near the fountain, hands in his pockets, watching the students leave.

His phone buzzed.

"First day?"

—Dadaji

Aaryan smirked and typed:

"Interesting."

Another message came instantly.

"Remember who you are… but don't show it."

Aaryan looked up at the sky, his expression calm.

"Don't worry…" he whispered.

"I won't."

His gaze shifted once more—

Toward Siya.

Toward the girls.

Toward the future waiting ahead.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"Let the game begin."
