Chapter 6 - Unnamed

Chapter 6 This dragon is really not picky about food

Aaron looked at the hundred or so plates on the long dining table and felt a pang of inexplicable sadness.

It was clear Gines had put a lot of effort into this breakfast, with everything imaginable: things that flew in the sky, swam in the water, and ran on land.

In addition, there were all kinds of fruits, vegetables, drinks, and even snacks—one of everything he could get his hands on.

But the problem was, he, the young master, had never experienced such treatment in all his life, while the little fellow's first meal was a "Manchu Han Imperial Feast."

How could the master be treated worse than a pet? Was there any justice? Any family rules left?

"Ahem! Uncle Gines, isn't this a bit too extravagant?" Aaronasked, annoyed.

Gines was stunned for a moment, naturally hearing the sourness in Aaron's tone, and chuckled, "I know what the young master wants to say, but your pet is truly extraordinary; there has never been a dragon of this breed in history.

So, to take good care of it, it's crucial to figure out its dietary habits.

You wouldn't want to rack your brains trying to figure out what it eats and doesn't eat after school starts, would you?

This breakfast is both a celebration of its birth and a simple investigation.

Common food types are all included, and there are special investigators responsible for recording; they will provide a perfect analysis report before noon, so it will be much easier for you to raise it in the future, Young Master."

Only then did Aaron look at the two people behind Ginesand nodded silently.

"Go on, little fellow.

This concerns your future diet; you only have one chance, so make the most of it." With that, Aaron placed it on the dining table, letting it do as it pleased.

Gines raised an eyebrow slightly. "Young Master, since it has been born, shouldn't it be given a name?

We can't always call it 'little fellow,' can we?"

"I've thought about that too, but I really don't have any good ideas when it comes to naming," Aaron said with an awkward smile. The little fellow's name in the movie was 'Abey,' but it obviously couldn't be called that in this world, especially since he was a Hogwarts freshman.

You see, the Principal's name is Albus Dumbledore; if its name were Abey, he'd probably have a teacher talking to him on the first day of school.

Hearing Aaron say that, Gines suddenly straightened his back and said confidently, "Young Master, what do you think of 'Miko'?"

"Miko?" Aaron murmured thoughtfully.

The name sounded pretty good, and it was Gines' heartfelt gesture; most importantly, he personally had no ideas, so why not just use this one?

At least it's better than 'little fellow,' right?

"This name..."

Before Aaron could finish his sentence, the little fellow flew over, shaking its head at him repeatedly, and even glared at Gines with a fierce, baby-like look.

"It's debatable, yes, this name is still debatable," Aaronsubtly rejected.

"Alright!" Gines said with some regret. It was a good name, but the little fellow wasn't satisfied.

At this moment, the little fellow grabbed Aaron's hand and placed it on its own head, its dragon eyes curving into crescent moons.

Aaron instantly understood and said with a wry smile, "You want me to give you a name?"

The little fellow nodded, casting a slightly haughty glance at Gines.

Gines:...So it wasn't that the name I came up with was bad, but that the person who came up with it was wrong!

However, this was also a good thing; at least the relationship between this young dragon and the young master was much closer than he had imagined.

A few seconds later, Aaron gritted his teeth, "How about you just call yourself Abey!"

"Young Master, isn't that name a bit low-brow?" Gines said.

But the little fellow didn't think so; instead, it was incredibly excited, flying several circles around Aaron before returning to the dining table, clearly very pleased with its name.

"Uncle Gines, what were you saying just now?" Aaron asked playfully.

"Nothing, I didn't say anything, Young Master, you must have misheard."

The little fellow, having received its name, seemed overjoyed. It landed back on the dining table, proudly raised its little chin, and strutted towards the nearest plate.

The Gaius Family's chefs were also professional elites; every dish was incredibly delicious.

Abey didn't want to miss a single dish, but its stomach was only so big. It sniffed some plates briefly, hesitated for a moment before moving on, lingered at others for a short while, licked them with its tongue, and took a bite or two. Only a very few plates excited it, making it extend its small paw towards the investigators, its eyes frantically signaling.

After half an hour, the grand feast Gines had meticulously prepared was not in vain; they finally determined the little fellow's diet.

The investigators exchanged glances and somewhat hesitantly handed over their reports.

After carefully reading it, Aaron's face broke into a smile, and he said meaningfully, "Abey is much easier to raise than I thought!"

Gines also nodded; it seemed future meals wouldn't require special preparation.

All food types on the report had at least one checkmark, meaning Abey wasn't picky at all. Those with two checkmarks were liked more, such as snacks like biscuits, fruits, and chocolate. Those with three checkmarks were very much liked, with chicken legs and milk in this category.

Aaron stepped forward and picked up Abey, who had gained several pounds. He placed the report in front of it. "See if there are any problems? If not, this will determine your menu from now on."

After looking at it, Abey cooed a few times, then nodded contentedly.

Aaron finally relaxed. Abey's intelligence wasn't low, so since it didn't object, it meant the report had merit.

"However..." Gines hesitated for a few seconds, then mused, "Abey is a dragon after all; it wouldn't eat people, would it?"

As soon as he finished speaking, he felt a chill down his spine. Aaron and Abey were both staring at him, seemingly quite displeased with his question.

"Haha! I was just kidding.

Abey is clearly a good dragon; how could it eat people!"

Over the next few days, Aaron went to Diagon Alley to sign in every morning, and Abey was brought along with him.

Milk tea, milk, and drinks were all available for it to drink.

But one rule had to be followed: it wasn't allowed to leave the owner's room.

After all, the official "dragon walking license" hadn't arrived yet! He wouldn't dare take it out openly on the streets until he was one hundred percent sure there was no risk.

The reason Abey could leave Gaius Castle now was because it was wearing a blue outfit to cover its wings and a white hat to cover its ears.

It was clearly a dragon with infinite potential, but with this gear, it was just a little cat that could melt hearts.

Inside the room, Aaron lay in a rocking chair with his eyes closed, his consciousness immersed in the system's store.

"Alas!" Aaron sighed softly. The things he wanted were too expensive to buy, but the things he could afford were useless.

It seemed the plan couldn't change; accumulating magicPoints was the priority.

Just then, a bell rang on the wall.

Abey happily jumped to Aaron's side. It knew this was the signal to go home, and also the signal that dinner was coming soon.

As a newborn young dragon, it took its meals exceptionally seriously.

"No more thinking, let's go home," Aaron said, then picked up Abey and walked towards the fireplace.

"Young Master, please go first," Gines said with a smile, making a welcoming gesture.

"I know, it's not the first or second time, you don't need to remind me." Aaron rolled his eyes, then used Floo powder.

As a burst of green flame rose, Gines subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief. This time, he didn't follow them back to the Castle, but instead used Apparition to leave the spot.
