Chapter 2 :
Well, anyway…
Now I should be teleported at any moment.
I felt the space around me getting distorted and my vision becoming blurry.
When I blinked and opened my eyes again, I was already standing in the middle of a huge grassy field colored in yellow.
For a few seconds, I just stood there in awe.
Shocked by the charm of the place.
And shocked by the fact that I had actually been teleported here.
Honestly, I expected the teleportation process to be more flashy.
Something with lights.
Colors.
Maybe even some dramatic sound effects.
This was a huge letdown.
It's not like I'm into showing off or anything…
But even the game had better teleportation effects than this world.
Well then.
Time to find a village and get my first gear.
I looked around, searching for any nearby settlement.
The first thing I noticed was a huge demon-like skull at the far end of the wheat field.
I thought about it for a moment.
If this world is similar to the game, then the village should probably be on the opposite side of that skull.
So I turned around.
And started walking toward the village.
Half an hour passed.
Just walking.
Walking.
Walking.
Then I realized something.
"I'M LOST!!!"
…Yep.
That was a problem I also had in my previous world.
Both inside games and outside of them.
My sense of direction is terrible.
I can't deny that.
Well now…
What should I do?
I sat down in the grass, trying to think of something that could get me out of this situation.
Then suddenly—
"HEEEELPPP!!!"
A scream echoed across the field.
I instantly stood up.
It wasn't far from me.
I turned around.
And saw a demon-like girl being attacked by a pack of wolves.
My first thought:
"I CAN FINALLY HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!!!"
My second thought:
"TIME TO START A HAREM ISEKAI STORY!!!"
I dashed toward her.
At the same time, I opened my stats window.
Without hesitation, I dumped all my points into Strength and Agility.
Since I didn't have any magical gear yet, my magic stats could wait.
By the time I reached her, one of the wolves was already lunging forward.
I ran with everything I had.
And kicked it.
My foot went straight through its stomach.
Through flesh.
Through bone.
And came out the other side.
Blood splattered everywhere.
"HOLY FUC****!!!"
I wasn't used to the sight of blood.
And I definitely wasn't used to being this strong.
But that could wait.
Right now, there were still wolves left.
I turned my head.
The girl.
She didn't seem seriously injured.
Good.
I faced the remaining wolves.
One of them leaped toward me.
Fangs wide open.
Aiming for my throat.
I dodged.
Grabbed its jaw.
And SNAPPED it in half.
The crack echoed across the field.
It was brutal.
My heart was pounding.
Adrenaline rushing through my veins.
Only two wolves remained.
Actually…
Only one.
The other one ran away after witnessing the brutal deaths of its comrades.
Smart wolf.
Now the last one stood before me.
Growling.
I stepped forward.
Slipped behind it.
And locked it into a choke-hold.
It struggled.
Scratched.
Kicked.
But I didn't let go.
One minute passed.
Two.
Three.
Five.
Eventually…
The wolf stopped moving.
When I finally came back to my senses, the demon girl was on the ground.
Shaking.
On the verge of fainting from fear.
Did I… go overboard?
I tried approaching her.
But she immediately started screaming and waving her hands frantically.
I couldn't understand a single word she was saying.
But I didn't need to.
She was terrified.
No…
More like petrified to be honest .
But wait…
Something isn't right.
Why can't I understand the language she's speaking?
I thought that was something the system granted me the moment I was resurrected into this world.
