Chapter 2 - Chapter 1: The Question of Knowledge

The sun hung low over the encampment of the Children of Israel, casting long, golden

shadows across the desert sands. Moses stood before his people, his voice resonant

with the authority of a man who had led them through the wilderness. He spoke of the

Law, of the commandments, and of the path of righteousness.

As he finished, a man from the crowd stepped forward. "O Prophet of God," he asked,

"is there anyone on this earth more knowledgeable than you?"

Moses paused. He had received the Tablets; he had heard the Voice in the Burning

Bush. In his heart, he felt the weight of the wisdom he carried. "No," he replied, "I

know of no one more knowledgeable."

But even as the words left his lips, a subtle shift occurred in the air. A realization

dawned that knowledge is an ocean without a shore, and that no human vessel,

however blessed, could contain it all.
