The evening sky was turning orange as Arjun stood alone on Platform 7. The station was crowded, but somehow he felt completely invisible—like nobody noticed him, and maybe nobody ever would.
A slow train rolled in with a loud screech, wind brushing past his face. People rushed forward, pushing, shouting, trying to get in before the doors closed. Arjun didn't move. He wasn't waiting for any train.
He was waiting for something else… though he didn't know what.
Just then, a voice came from behind him.
"Tum kisi ka wait kar rahe ho… ya khud se bhaag rahe ho?"
Arjun turned quickly.
A girl stood there, wearing a simple black hoodie, her eyes calm but sharp—as if she could see right through him. She wasn't smiling, but she didn't look cold either.
"Tum… mujhe jaanti ho?" Arjun asked, confused.
She shook her head slowly.
"Jaanna zaroori nahi hota… samajhna zyada important hota hai."
Arjun frowned. "I don't understand."
The girl stepped closer, stopping just a few feet away.
"Phir samajh lo… aaj se tumhari life change hone wali hai."
Before he could say anything, the train whistle blew loudly. For a second, Arjun looked away.
And when he turned back—
She was gone.
No footsteps. No crowd movement. Nothing.
Just… gone.
Arjun's heart started beating faster.
"Who was she…?" he whispered.

How did she know about him?
