The Shadow of Sector 17
In an abandoned part of the city, there was a place no one liked to talk about. People simply called it Sector 17.
Years ago, the government built a secret research facility there. No one knew exactly what they were studying. Some said it was advanced technology, others believed it was something far more dangerous.
One night, everything went silent.
The lights of Sector 17 went out, the workers disappeared, and the entire area was sealed off. The official report said there had been an accident.
But the truth was never told.
After that night, strange things began to happen. People living nearby started hearing footsteps in empty streets. Security cameras sometimes captured shadows moving where no one was standing.
And sometimes… the lights in the empty buildings turned on by themselves.
Years later, a curious university student named Ryan decided to explore the abandoned zone. Everyone warned him not to go.
"Nothing good waits in Sector 17," an old man told him.
But curiosity is stronger than fear.
One cold night, Ryan climbed over the broken fence and entered the silent facility. The buildings were dark and dusty, like time had stopped inside.
As he walked deeper into the main laboratory, he found an old computer still running.
The screen flickered.
Suddenly a message appeared:
"Experiment 17 was never contained."
Ryan felt a chill run down his spine.
Behind him, something moved.
He slowly turned around.
In the darkness of the hallway, there was a shape — tall, thin, and unnatural. It didn't walk like a human. It didn't breathe like a human.
But it was watching him.
Ryan realized something terrifying.
The accident in Sector 17 didn't destroy the experiment.
It created it.
And for years… it had been waiting in the darkness.

The last thing the security camera recorded that night was Ryan running through the hallway.

But Ryan was never seen again.
And sometimes, late at night, people say they can still hear footsteps coming from the empty buildings.
