Kael couldn't breathe.
Pain was everywhere. His muscles were stretching, his bones ached as if they were about to break.
"What… is happening?" he whispered.
He pressed his hands into the dirt, but suddenly his body twisted unnaturally. His muscles seemed to move on their own, as if tearing apart.
A growl escaped his mouth—but it wasn't his. Something else was speaking from within him.
The creature stepped closer. Kael didn't feel fear. Instead, he felt pure, uncontrollable rage.
Suddenly, he stood. He was no longer the same person. His body had grown, his claws sharpened.
The creature lunged—but Kael was faster. His claws tore through flesh, blood splattering across the forest floor.
When it was over, Kael stood alone. But he was no longer human. Something had awakened inside him—ancient, dangerous, and impossible to control.
A whisper echoed in his mind:
"Awaken… Last Alpha."
Kael opened his eyes. A new world had just begun.
