The house was quiet… too quiet.
Aarav slept peacefully in his crib, the soft glow of a night lamp filling the room.
Ariya Verma sat beside him, reading a storybook softly, her hand resting gently on her belly—she was expecting their second child.
Arnav Malhotra stood at the window, his eyes scanning the perimeter.
The phone call from yesterday echoed in his mind:
"Do you think the past is gone? Think again."
A Disturbing Sign
A faint sound broke the silence—a window creaking in the back garden.
Arnav's body tensed instantly.
Without hesitation, he signaled Ariya to stay back.
He quietly moved toward the source, senses alert.
The shadow of a figure slipped through the trees—a stranger, moving carefully, trained, dangerous.
Arnav's eyes narrowed.
"They're testing us," he whispered.
"Seeing how fast we react."
A Bold Move
The stranger slipped inside the garden and moved toward the house, unaware Arnav was already there.
In one swift move, Arnav intercepted him.
A tense confrontation followed—words sharp, moves precise.
"You shouldn't have come here," Arnav growled.
"This is your warning. Leave now, or I make sure you never move again."
The stranger smirked, backing away slowly.
"This is just the beginning, Malhotra. You'll regret this," the voice said coldly before vanishing into the night.
Ariya's Fear Returns
Ariya rushed to Arnav, her heart pounding.
"Who was it?" she asked, panic in her voice.
Arnav pulled her close, calming her.
"They're from the past… or connected to it," he said.
"But they won't touch our family. Not while I'm here."
Ariya nodded, though her hands trembled slightly.
"I just… I can't lose Aarav… or the baby," she whispered.
Arnav held her tighter, kissing her forehead.
"You won't. I promise."
The Enemy Reveals Themselves
Later that night, far away, a dark figure watched the Malhotra home from a rooftop.
A phone rang.
"Yes?" a voice hissed.
"They know we're back," the figure said.
"They reacted faster than expected."
A pause.
"But that's okay… let's raise the stakes."
The screen in front of them showed the Malhotras' house.
"And this time…" the voice added,
"We take their child first." 😳
Cliffhanger
Arnav's eyes narrowed the next morning as he reviewed the security footage.
"They're smarter than Karan ever was," he muttered.
Ariya stood beside him, holding Aarav close.
"I won't let them hurt us," Arnav said.
"Not this time. Not ever."
But deep down… he knew the fight had just begun.
