Chapter 50 - Episode 20: City Under Siege

The city streets were chaotic, filled with panic as fires and explosions lit the skyline.

Arnav Malhotra gripped the steering wheel of their armored SUV, weaving through debris-strewn streets.

"They're everywhere… Samar Anand isn't holding back," he growled.

Ariya Verma sat beside him, monitoring live drone feeds.

"Mercenaries are spreading out in multiple sectors. We can't stop them all—but we can protect the civilians near us."

Aarav clutched Ariya's hand in the back seat.

"Mom… Dad… will everyone be okay?"

Arnav glanced in the rearview mirror, his face hardened.

"We'll make sure of it, baby. No one gets hurt while we're here."

The Siege Begins

Samar Anand's forces blocked main roads, set traps, and targeted hospitals and schools.

Gunfire echoed through the streets, and mercenaries attempted to corner Arnav and his team multiple times.

Ariya remotely disabled a few key vehicles, giving Arnav an advantage.

"Move left… then straight. You'll get through," she instructed calmly.

Arnav executed flawlessly, taking down attackers with precision.

Civilians cheered as they were guided to safety, their faith in the Malhotras unwavering.

Close Call

A rooftop sniper took aim at Aarav from a distance.

Arnav swerved, narrowly avoiding the shot, and countered with a precise takedown.

Ariya's voice crackled in his earpiece:

"Got the sniper. Move now, Arnav!"

He accelerated through a narrow alley, avoiding debris and armed mercenaries, all while keeping Aarav safe.

Samar Anand Watches

From his command center, Samar Anand's masked face appeared on a giant screen.

"Brave… but predictable," he muttered.

"Tomorrow, they will regret interfering. Phase seven will destroy them." 😈

Cliffhanger

As night fell, Arnav and Ariya regrouped with their team on a rooftop overlooking the city.

"Phase six… almost over," Arnav said, wiping sweat from his brow.

"But we know Samar Anand's ultimate plan is coming. And this time… it will test everything we have."

A shadow loomed over the rooftop—an unseen drone hovering silently, signaling that Samar Anand was always watching.
