Chapter 44 So Many People
Zheng Wudi was so engrossed in the lively scene that he finally remembered what he had to do.
But Zheng Wudi has almost become face-blind from looking at so many people.
The excitement belongs to them; Zheng Wudi gets nothing. o(╥﹏╥)o
Even this lively scene, with people walking around toasting each other, has already affected Zheng Wudi's grand plan to find the person.
Zheng Wudi comforted himself, telling himself to look slowly, while simultaneously speeding up his search to see if he recognized the two faces from his memory.
"How can he eat so much?" Zheng Wudi huddled in a secluded spot, muttering to himself.
The leftover food on the table was soon taken away by a fairy servant.
And Zheng Wudi finally found those two people.
These two people probably don't have very high ranks in the heavens.
Zheng Wudi watched as the two people carried the plates away.
She changed to a more discreet method and followed them.
I followed the two of them to the kitchen and watched them use magic to clean the plates.
How can a god do all this dirty and tiring work? Are there different classes for each person?
What's the difference between that and being a human? It's just that you live a little longer and are a beast of burden for a little longer!
They practically work year-round without a break!
Zheng Wudi has now accepted his identity as a cloud quite well.
After all, being a cloud means you won't go hungry, and although you'll be homeless, it's still better than being a beast of burden.
Zheng Wudi watched them so busy that they didn't have time to talk, and he felt a chill run down his spine.
Zheng Wudi felt a chill run down her spine at any thought that could remind her of the days when she was treated like a beast of burden.
During his working days, Zheng Wudi always had a sullen face. It wasn't until he quit his job and started playing games that he became a little better.
But what exactly are these two people trying to do?
Seeing that the two wouldn't leave anytime soon, Zheng Wudi floated back to the main hall to see when the banquet would end.
Zheng Wudi's eyes are numb, how come he hasn't finished eating yet?
When will this end?
Zheng Wudi looked around and saw that it was getting dark outside. She was also extremely sleepy!
She found a pole in the lobby and hung herself up on it.
She was really afraid that if she slept too soundly, she would end up sleeping right in front of them.
Zheng Wudi woke up again to a commotion.
"What's wrong? What's wrong? What happened? Is the banquet over?" Zheng Wudi blinked his sleepy eyes.
Those who came out of the black hole have all left.
Zheng Wudi, hiding atop a pillar, listened to their arguing: "Those Red Clan people came over and said we should all hide better from now on. Those life forms from outer space have already discovered us. We need to hide our little world well now. From now on, all passages leading to the outside world must be closed!"
"No, I disagree. We may have lived long enough, but the creatures in the lower realms will suffer. Animals will no longer be able to develop intelligence, and even those with exceptional talent will no longer have the chance to transform into human form. Moreover, the diluted immortal energy nourishing the people in the lower realms will likely limit their lifespans, and there will be many more unpredictable problems! I disagree."
"But isn't there no other way? If the passage isn't closed, those people from other universes will still come looking for us. At that point, it won't be a matter of intelligence or lifespan anymore. The entire small world will be destroyed!"
"But aren't there other galaxies that can survive? We can try another galaxy."
"But the creatures of the lower realm cannot even resist immortal power, let alone other things that are even more concentrated than immortal power."
"But as you know, if this passage closes, our star system may never have another chance to upgrade. Never again!" The immortal's voice choked with emotion as he spoke.
"As long as the green hills remain, there will always be firewood! Who told us that our galaxy is the weakest? If we were to confront those from outer space, we would be completely powerless to resist even a single blow! I'm afraid that they might use the energy of our galaxy to accumulate their power, giving them the ability to attack our universe!"
The immortal who disagreed with closing the passage was crying so hard he couldn't speak. He could only wave his hand helplessly and nod in agreement with their idea.
...
???
"Blind student, I've discovered the key point!" Zheng Wudi's expression right now could probably be described as a kitten thinking.
This is mind-bending, absolutely mind-bending!
Did she just see some immortals with scales on their skin? And two horns on their heads? Could they be dragons? Or is there some other universe?
What kind of world is this?!
How can it be both mystical and scientific?
Zheng Wudi pondered carefully: So this passage is essentially a place that recharges this small world! No wonder the things here seem to have consciousness!
But what can she do now?
Wait a minute! This passage is a black hole, and Zheng Wudi came out of it! Now that she's locked up, can she go back?
