"Before the Last Rain"
The sky was dark… a soft drizzle falling from above.
By the roadside stood a girl—her name was Maya.
Her eyes were wet… but she wasn't crying anymore.
Maybe because she had already cried enough in the past…
Suddenly, a voice came from behind—
Rahat:
"Maya…"
Maya slowly turned around.
There he was—Rahat.
The man who once meant everything to her.
Maya (with a faint smile):

Rahat stepped closer.
Rahat:
"Why did you leave like that? You didn't even tell me once…"
Maya stayed silent for a moment… then looked up at the sky.

Tears filled Maya's eyes… but she turned her face away.

"You're happy now… aren't you?"

Rahat:
"Happy? Without you?"
The rain started falling a bit heavier…
Maya spoke softly—

"Then why did you get married…?"
Rahat went silent.
Rahat:
"I… I thought you would never come back…"
Maya closed her eyes.
Maya:
"Yes… I couldn't come back…"
Rahat stepped closer, his voice shaking—
Rahat:
"Why? What happened to you?"
Maya looked at him… and for the first time, fear was visible in her eyes—
Maya:
"Because… I was lying in a hospital bed…"
Rahat was shocked.
Rahat:
"What?!"
Maya:
"I was diagnosed with a heart condition… The doctors said I might not survive…"
The rain stopped… everything became silent.
Tears rolled down Rahat's eyes.
Rahat:
"You didn't even tell me once?"
Maya smiled faintly—
Maya:
"I didn't want you to suffer because of me…"
Rahat shouted, his voice breaking—
Rahat:
"But what about now?! Do you know what I'm going through?!"
His voice trembled—
Rahat:
"I miss you… every single day…"
Maya's eyes filled with tears again.
Maya:
"You belong to someone else now, Rahat…"
Rahat shook his head desperately—
Rahat:
"No! My heart never changed!"
Suddenly, Maya trembled… her hand moved to her chest.
Rahat (panicking):
"Maya! What's happening?!"
Maya spoke with difficulty—
Maya:
"My time… is running out…"
Rahat held her tightly—
Rahat:
"No! Don't say that! We'll go to the hospital!"
Maya slowly shook her head—
Maya:
"Today… I just wanted to be with you…"
Her voice was fading…
Maya:
"You know… I never stopped loving you…"
Rahat broke down in tears—
Rahat:
"I still love you…"
Maya smiled softly…
Maya:
"That's… all I wanted to hear…"
Her hand slowly slipped down…
Rahat:
"Maya…? Maya!!"
The sky began to cry again…
And under that rain—
