Chapter 95 - The Wizards

For these wizards, the immortal realm was not just a myth or a legend. It was the true world of fantasy, a place of untold power and ancient secrets.

With the barrier compromised, they saw their chance to cross over. It was the outstanding chance to enter the immortal realm and claim its wizard for themselves.

Cypress knew that this influx of mortal wizards would change everything. It could tip the scales of war, disrupt the fragile alliances. Perhaps, there was an offer, a new path to survival for humans like herself and her companions.

In the immortal realm, where the impossible became reality. The wizards could do everything that was beyond reach in the human world. Here, the constraints of mortal limitations faded away. It was replaced by endless possibilities and boundless freedom.

The immortal realm was a vast expanse of untamed enchantment and ancient power. It was a place where the laws of nature bent to the will of those who dared to master them.

Unlike the human realm, where the enchantment was often elusive. It required years of painstaking study.

The immortal realm offered an environment ripe for growth and transformation. Here, aspiring sorcerers and mages could immerse themselves in the raw energies that flowed through the land. The wizard could hone their skills with a speed and intensity impossible elsewhere.

One of the most remarkable achievements born from this fertile ground of enchantment was the creation of the Shenmorta. These were humans unlike any other beings born with innate supernatural abilities that required little to no formal training.

The Shenmorta possessed a natural affinity for enchantment. Their powers blossomed effortlessly as if woven into their essence from birth.

The process of emerging a Shenmorta was shrouded in mystery and revered as a pinnacle of magical evolution. For no reason, some humans had a special ability. Such as looking for something invisible, cursing someone, and other stuff.

It was said that the immortal realm's unique energies could awaken dormant potentials within certain humans. Transforming them into living conduits of extraordinary power. These wizards could easily manipulate elements, bend reality, and wield forces. Even the most skilled wizards in the human realm could only dream of mastering.

For many humans who ventured into the immortal realm, a way to transcend their mortal limitations and carve a place for themselves among the immortals. It was a symbol of the realm's promise. That here, in this enchanted world, they could achieve what was impossible back home.

****

Cypress stepped back into their humble

sanctuary, the place they called home amidst the chaos of the immortal realm. The vibe was thick with the mingled scents of herbs and simmering broth.

In one corner, Dorian and Alaric were deeply engrossed in their work. They carefully mixed the ingredients to craft a potent potion and an elixir. One day, it might change the fate of humans in this immortal realm.

On the other side of the room, Corvin and Wrenna moved with practiced ease. They prepared a simple meal to sustain them through the long nights.

Without hesitation, Cypress entered, her footsteps purposeful and steady. She carried the basket filled with her precious potions. With a deliberate motion, she slammed it down hard on the wooden table. The sharp sound echoed through the room. Instantly it drew every pair of eyes to her.

A hush fell over the group. The casual rhythm of their tasks was broken. It -was replaced by a sudden tension as all gazes fixed on Cypress, waiting for her words.

Cypress announced. Her voice was low but firm. "There is another human beside us. He is in here, in the immortal realm."

The room erupted in disbelief. Dorian's eyes widened, and he exclaimed. "What!!! Are you kidding me?"

The news was staggering. Humans rarely, if ever, crossed into the immortal realm, especially now. The barrier that separated their realm had long been sealed. An impenetrable shield that no ordinary being could breach.

Only the most magnificent, those wielding extraordinary power had any hope of breaking through. Even then, such occurrences were exceedingly rare and often shrouded in mystery.

The implications of Cypress's revelation rippled through the group. The presence of another human here could change everything. It raised questions of who this newcomer was. How had he managed to cross the barrier? What his arrival meant for their fragile existence.

Everyone immediately set aside whatever task they had been engaged in. The room, once filled with the quiet sounds of potion brewing and meal preparation, fell into a heavy silence as they gathered closely around Cypress. The weight of her revelation hung in the air. It drew their full attention.

Wrenna was the first to break the silence. Her voice was tinged with a mixture of hope and curiosity. "Cypee, are you sure? Who is he? Can he be the new king that we are waiting for?"

Cypress shook her head slowly. Her eyes narrowed as she recalled what she had observed. "I don't know who he is. But he is not. I don't sense any skill in him. Apparently, it is weird, he is getting along with a chimera, as a master and his guardian beast."

----

Dorian frowned deeply. He crossed his arms. "There is something wrong. If he doesn't have any skill, then how can he possibly subdue the chimera? Those beasts don't bow to just anyone."

Cypress nodded in agreement, her expression serious. "You're right, his presence is dubious. There's something about him that doesn't add up."

Wrenna's eyes sparkled with cautious optimism. "How about we invite him to join us?"

Alaric scoffed loudly. His tone was sharp and dismissive. "No way. I will never welcome him. I don't like useless ones and burdensome ones. We don't have the luxury to carry dead weight."

The room grew tense as the group weighed their options. The arrival of this human was unprecedented. While some saw him as potential, others feared the risk. Cypress remained silent for a moment. Her mind raced with possibilities and doubts.

Cypress said firmly. Her voice was steady with conviction. "We can make him useful, for us."

She met each of their eyes. She tried to convey the certainty she felt deep inside. "Even if he doesn't have skills now, there's always a way to turn circumstances to our advantage."
