I straightened my hair and turned to steal a glance up at him. He was closer than I had expected, his forearm nearly brushing my shoulder. With Sean on my other side I had never felt so small, yet somehow I had also never felt more secure.
My eyes moved along the fitted black shirt he wore and I caught my lip between my teeth again. I kept looking upward expecting to find his neatly kept hair, but what I found instead stopped me cold. His dark wolf eyes were already fixed on me, staring down with an intensity that hit me like a wall. The shock of it made me bite down too hard and I tasted blood. I frowned and ran my tongue over it, then looked back up to find him still watching me with that same unrelenting focus.
What is his problem...
He is jealous, my wolf purred.
