Both Charlie and Sean asked me to sit out of sparring after my episode in the woods. Not that I minded even slightly, since I hated fighting anyway. They sent me back inside so as not to "aggravate" my wolf further. Their words, not mine. Celimene was not impressed with being managed like a problem.
Staying indoors did not last long. I made my way to the indoor fitness suite and set myself up on the steps machine, determined to beat my personal best despite my calves burning their protest within the first few minutes. Through the large tinted windows I could see the forest stretching out beyond the grounds, and I felt a flicker of excitement about going out there later tonight. It was quickly followed by a thread of nerves. I was not sure what would happen if I lost control out there, or whether Cel would even listen to Charlie if it came to that.
