Later that afternoon I found myself back in the garden. Sean had thoroughly destroyed my shoulders during the weights session and I knew by tomorrow morning I would be paying for it properly. I decided that weeding was the best solution since it would keep my arms moving gently and hopefully stop them from seizing up overnight.
I had been told that Lyra would be leaving that evening, and I was genuinely looking forward to watching her walk away. I did not trust her, long-time family friend or not. She was too comfortable, too touchy, and far too curious about things that were none of her business.
I huffed and stared at the impressive pile of dandelions I had pulled up over the past hour. It seemed a waste to just throw them away and I found myself wondering if there were any rabbit burrows nearby. With that thought firmly planted in my head I loaded everything into my new wheelbarrow and decided to find out.
