Chapter 53 - Payback.

Jay's POV..

"When will you stop your stubbornness, Jay?" Angelo shouted.

I just blankly stared at the wall, pretending the wall was suddenly the most interesting thing in the entire universe.

Everyone in the room was staring at me.

What?

It wasn't my fault!

Okay… maybe it was a little my fault.

But still!

He knows I'm in the hospital and he still wants to shout at me. Can't he see that I am already suffering enough? I am sick, weak, hungry and emotionally traumatized by the lack of good food!

Who is the stubborn one here?

Me or him?

Definitely him.

Okay… maybe me.

But mostly him.

"Angelo!! Stop shouting at the kid," Tita said as she entered the room, carrying a bowl of porridge.

My eyes immediately locked onto the bowl.

FOOD.

Finally!

Something edible!

After listening to Demon Angelo's lecture, I deserved this.

Tita placed the bowl in front of me.

I stared at it.

The porridge stared back.

We had a moment.

Unfortunately, it was not the kind of food I had been dreaming about.

Can't I get some fries? Ham? Pork belly? Lechon? A juicy burger?

Okay, fine.

Maybe that's a little too much.

But at least give me enough food to fill some part of my stomach!

"Anak, take some rest after drinking this," Tita said, gently patting my shoulder.

I nodded obediently.

Yes, Tita.

I shall drink my porridge.

But just know that deep inside, my soul is eating a burger.

"Ma, there's an urgent call from the agency. I need to go. Take care of yourself and Jay…"

I looked at him.

Awww.

He cares about me!

Maybe he isn't that bad after all.

My heart melted a little.

"…and make sure she doesn't cause any trouble for the hospital staff."

My heart immediately froze.

Never mind.

I take back everything I just said.

DEMON.

Very bad Demon.

He always finds a way to disgrace me.

Even while I'm sick!

"Jay, don't cause any trouble," he warned.

I gave him my most innocent expression.

"Me? Trouble?"

I am an angel.

A very hungry angel.

"And remember, Jay, don't tell this to Keifer."

Angelo pointed at me before leaving.

I frowned.

He's right.

Because knowing that Ulupong, he would probably jump on the first flight from London to the Philippines and leave all his important tasks behind.

And then he'd come here and give me another lecture.

As if I don't already have enough demons in my life.

"Jay, you take some rest. I'm around. Call me if you need anything. I have to meet my friend who is admitted here," Tita said.

"Sige, Tita."

She left.

And just like that…

I was alone.

I lay back on the bed, staring at the blank ceiling and trying to fall asleep.

But my brain had other plans.

Because suddenly…

I missed my KingBingi.

He must be worried that I haven't messaged him for the past two days.

Or maybe he's wondering why his favourite headache has suddenly disappeared.

Hmm.

Knowing him, he's probably panicking.

Good.

He deserves it.

I miss him.

But that doesn't mean I forgive him!

Absolutely not!

Actually…

I kind of miss punching him right in the face.

Hehehe.

Once he returns, I am definitely grabbing my opportunity to take revenge.

Especially because he still hasn't apologized.

Who does he think he is?

My King?

Yes.

My Bingi?

Unfortunately, yes.

Forgiven?

Absolutely not.

I closed my eyes, trying not to smile.

Fine.

Maybe I missed him a little too much.

But I'll never tell him that.

He can figure it out himself.

After all, making him suffer a little is part of my revenge plan.

And honestly…

I think I'm going to enjoy it.
