I was a little taken a back by my own boldness. The surge of confidence had come from nowhere, and my wolf chuckled at the shocked expression upon Kael's face. He had expected friendliness. Warmth. Company. And, quite honestly, I was growing tired of it. I walked and did not look back. My sense of direction was not the best, but I was able to find my way to the conservatory without looking back to see where Kael may be.
